As we progress into the world of Quantum Computing, new and more efficient forms of processing become possible. It would only be a matter of time before these systems take off in the mainstream world, that would replace traditional computers.

Now, since Quantum Computers introduce QuBits, the question is: Will it become possible for a cryptocurrency to adopt this technology for its hashing algorithm, to become a more complex and secure one?

I've seen that there is a cryptocurrency named QubitCoin, but I'm not sure if it would make use of QuBits.

Nevertheless, if you happen to know of any cryptocurrency that would make use of QuBits, I would be glad if you would share it with me. Also, I would like to know your opinion about a cryptocurrency which makes use of the above technology.   Smiley

As we progress into the world of Quantum Computing, new and more efficient forms of processing become possible.

My personal opinion is that quantum computing is like fusion power plants: possible in principle, the physics makes sense, and never operational.  Toys to get research grants, write nice papers, do a lot of fun physics.  But not something that will work in the near future (and in my humble opinion, ever).  The reason is "decoherence".  It's a bitch.
