Are we able to extort or not?
Lauda did it and he was de-op.

Does that mean that mods are allowed to extort but others not?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Scammers, extorters, etc are given negative trust. The forum does not moderate it.
Lauda's case was different because he was a staff member at that time. That was the only reason it was discussed in Meta
