TestNetWe are currently setting up the September testbed/testnet to allow for automated testing including various transactions stress testing, from small to an extensive amount of transactions; multiple quorum and node configurations – more information will be provided next week once we have this finalized.
BOS Platform Development updatesAre you interested in technical developments? Our development team have been readily updating our GitHub site with new commits.
To see the action please follow the link:
https://github.com/owlchain/owlchain-coreCommunity Management UpdatesTo align with current developments and status, we are in the process of refreshing our homepage. This will include implementing a new branding consistent across the website and future BOScoin products; include a new discussion forum to assist with more specific and event/product focused items such as developer reviews, design feedback, trust contract proposals discussions, etc. We are targeting to have this activity complete by late September in preparation for TokenNet.
Exchange UpdatesAs you may be aware, we are in the process of getting BOScoin onto various exchanges. So far we have contacted over a dozen exchanges with the greatest daily volume and some have replied back on a positive note. For some other exchanges we are still waiting a response, as there are many tokens waiting in line to be listed. If you would like to see BOScoin on a certain exchange please give us a shout at our Slack or contact us via
contact@boscoin.io and let us know. In the mean time, we would also be grateful if you could assist us with successfully getting onto exchanges by contacting them as organic demand is one of the most important things exchanges are looking for.
Wallet Development and TestingAs part of our TokenNet, we will be releasing a web wallet for the community to make transactions on our platform. Progress has been good and we'd like to share some draft screenshots of our work to date.
Have You Met...This week's article, we introduce you to Aston Nam. Aston is currently under the Technical Engineering section working on the ontology and Trust Contracts.
BackgroundEver since Aston was young he has been intrigued with computers, where back then his interest was focused on gaming such as Football Manager and World of Warcraft. Continuing his passion, he went to Hongik University, Korea’s renown university for arts and architecture; where Aston graduated from Computer Engineering.
Following the technical path, Aston’s first employment was at InnoRules, a Korean owned business rules management system solutions consultancy, where he was focused on using java and C++ languages to customise and adapt technology solutions to other businesses.
Through keeping updated with current technology events and trends such as Industry 4.0, Aston attended numerous technology seminars, where listened to various members of the BlockchainOS presenting on the then BOS Platform and related discussions – this was where he discovered his interest in blockchain and the cryptocurrency field. After the formal seminars, there would be networking sessions where Aston had a chance to meet the BlockchainOS members and further learned about their organisation, the structure, vision and strategy. Seeing a strong alignment of skills, career growth, interest and also work culture of a Decentralised Autonomous Networked Organisation* (DANO) embedded in BOS Platform’s management style, both Aston and members of the BlockchainOS immediately saw a fit and Aston was engaged on the BOS Platform project – Aston was particularly interested by the opportunity to work in a DANO coding from the ground up.
Aston's favourite aspect of cryptocurrency/blockchainThe decentralisation aspect excites Aston in various perspectives including providing the power back to the owners of assets (instead, for example, banks); and also the concept of the DANO* work culture at BlockchainOS.
Aston is particularly motivated to be under a team, working at the forefront of the blockchain technology, which explains why he is currently under the team developing Trust Contracts using Web Ontology Language (OWL) and Timed Automata Language (TAL) technologies.
The RIF (Random Interesting Fact)The real reason why Aston went to Hongik University studying Computer Engineering was because of his interest in arts, especially music. In his spare time, Aston composes a variety of music.
Aston’s dream is to one day be able to develop and sell his own virtual software technology instrument (VSTi) to the world - maybe when he get's rich from cryptocurrencies?
Разработка идет полным ходом, и это не может не радовать
