I have my own philosophy  when it comes to investing into an ICO.

Just wondered what others looked at.

Whitepaper? website? value of ICO purchase? amount of coins? Community behind it?

Or is it a little bit of all of that, and how much it goes up before you sell it ( if you sell)

Simple, if I see that it's an ICO, I just close the tab and never think of it again.

Not your keys, not your coins!

First Things  First. Strong Developer team. I only invest in an ICO if the developers behind the project are serious about their projects. Releasing new updates and features in crucial for every project.

Next thing I usually check is the Community Support. If there's one thing I'm sure of, It's that Majority always win.

Different people have different criteria and even if you follow the methods of one successful person, you are not guaranteed their same success.

Things you should be looking for when investing in an ICO :-

1.Their Github as mentioned.Read each and every line of code to make sure the project is seriously done.
2.Ask them as many questions as possible, test their knowledge about the coin and concept in general.
3.If the ann thread is self moderated, stay away.
4.If taking money from you is their priority, stay away.
5.In the ICO phase, check if the code is being committed parallelly.

great point  Grin I think currently it's the best choice.
better trade/invest in the well-established cryptos (have you seen the recent rise of DASH  Shocked), than play Russian ICO Roulette  Wink

The developer team should be trusted and active on the forum, answering and solving doubts regularly. Also, the second most important factor is the use of an escrow. Most projects don't use an escrow and hence if the ICO doesn't manage to get enough investors, the investors lose their funds. It's necessary to appoint an escrow would can refund the money back if the ICO fails.

I have invested in many ICOs  Its my main investment platform

And I think most ICOs are good... I agree with the escrow (or a 3rd party being in the middle)
besides that, researching what is public, looking at pricing and coin supply. and seeing what profits can come and how long I need to hold.

We are going to be listing ICO coins at LowCap Club.

We will be using our own criteria for choosing what we list but will leave it up to you as for what you should support.

I look for serious ICO projects in this ANN section, because most of ICOs have ANN OP post here. Just invest in escrow ICO and release team members' personal information.

The ICO founders' identity should be disclosed to the pubic and have good reputation.
They should release some part of their code for public review.

Many deceptions have already been made by anonymous developers and people who sell their product without any skills and abilities.

Simple, if I see that it's an ICO, I just close the tab and never think of it again.

So you would lose many chances to make huge gains, for example: ETH, XEM, NXT, STRAT and so forth.
