CypherProtocol


CypherProtocol is a codebase for prevention of counterfeiting and fraud in token contracts and transfers. In April 2017, CP tokens will be distributed to users who make provable donations to nonprofit organizations supporting crypto. Funds will be sent directly to these organizations' addresses and in exchange, CP tokens will be issued to the sender. Cypher Protocol developers will never have access to the funds and the developers of Cypher Protocol will not receive any income from the coin distribution (but may participate in the charity donations and receive coins).


Please submit any preferred charities for consideration prior to April 1st.

Premine: There is zero premine
Blocktime:  < 30 seconds
Distribution:  Charity donations in exchange for CP - planned for April 1st - 15th, 2017
Mining: After initial distribution, GPU mining will start until transitioning to DPOS at a future date.


Vision

Current industries are not yet ready to adopt blockchain technology or blockchain based currency. Our goal is to help change perspectives in traditional industry.

Developers will not receive any funds from CP distribution. The original plan was to burn coins in exchange for CP tokens, but now the CP distribution will be based off of donations made to nonprofit organizations supporting crypto. We will put out a list of nonprofits to choose from before the distribution.

POW will be Dagger-Hashimoto with some custom modifications by the Cypher Protocol team. We are calling the algorithm CPDH. Detailed information will be released prior to POW phase.

100,000,000 is the initial distribution (charity phase). PoW will continue until sDPOS phase begins. As sDPOS provides chain security, there will be no cap on coins. We expect overall inflation rate of 2.5%.

GPU only is the goal of the modifications. The POW phase will not be long enough for ASICs to be developed or modified....we hope.

The team are all long time members of the crypto community and are doing this project as a service. Cypher Protocol is not doing an ICO, not taking any premine and not asking for any investment. The tokens will likely not be added to an exchange for a long period of time. The team is giving the CP tokens away for provable donations to nonprofits helping push innovation in crypto. This project is very real but also will be very slow.
