Both of them seem like cloud mining operations, which means they're probably going to be scams. Genesis doesn't exactly have the best track record and I haven't ever heard of BTCery in my life. If you're looking for hosting I recommend you find a colocation or data center and buy miners and host them there.

Genesis mining was the one who withheld blocks on Slush pool due to testing faulty software on a live pool.

Slush hid their name and agreed with Genesis to let all the other Slush pool miners pay for Genesis' testing their code on Slush pool ... which was around about 500 BTC ...

Outlander, i wanted a pool close to me, but still i did check them out.

Now few calls today, and a drive to a location in London. A pool i can visit, and stock with my own miners.

Its really low power cost, and this is why i wanted to go the extra step and check them out..

So it looks like i will go for the Btcery pool. I will update  you after my first month mining Smiley

Reasons for this choice are -

1, Location
2  Low power cost
3, Add my own kit i can setup

I would avoid signing up to BTCery because cloud mining is seldom profitable and the chance that it's a Ponzi scheme is always going to be pretty high.

The only cloud mining service which definitely isn't a scam is HashNest because they're run by Bitmain.  I'm sure that there are several others but the vast majority are either blatant scams or have clever dirty tricks to avoid paying certain people.  Even HashNest probably isn't a good investment - cloud mining seldom could be.

Don't conflate pool mining with cloud mining.  By all means buy your own equipment and join a pool.  Even if they have cheaper running costs than you, you'll be a lot safer and probably earn more profit than cloud mining.  If you have expensive electricity or other major setbacks, it might even be a good idea to steer clear of mining altogether.

If you have your own hardware send it to Oregon Mines.  They have pretty cheap power, and are full service.  I have a number of miners there.  Terrence who owns the place is a nice guy.

How do you access your miners ? do you send your miner or direct purchase miner from them ?

I also have several miners with them and have been very happy with their level of service. I have sent all directly to them. I have not had them purchase any for me, but they have said to others that they can provide that service. They have vpn access for a nominal fee, to remote access your miners.

Here is a link to their thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1036304.0

UPDATE FIRST 30 DAYS

Hello gang,

Back just add some feedback on https://btcery.com first 30 days on their network.

My miners are working hard with no downtime, and all my profits add to the correct totals.

So I am very happy with their service, no issue, and no troubles

I have also moved more all my miners to btcery.

Coin on the rise so happy days ahead

Mike
