We're all adults here? I think. So we all know Ethereum is in a bubble right now. Bubbles eventually burst. I plan to buy some ether eventually, but not right now.
After the bubble bursts...and the bull trap ends...I think ether will fall back to the low teens. I doubt single digits, but who knows.
Question: what price do you plan to pull the trigger on ether after the bubble bursts?
My trigger is $15/ether.

If Ethereum has next hard fork, no doubt the bubble will burst eventually, but now the price is still very bullish, many huge ico raised money in Ethereum, this gives the buy pressure.

well to me it looks like a pump and it certainly has shown all the sign of a pump without a doubt. but even if we assume it is not a pump and "buy pressure!" is causing the rise, it still doesn't matter. when price rises fast, it needs a correction because traders are trading for profit and if they don't sell they don't take that profit! pretty obvious and selling means price coming down. now when price surges up too fast it is a bubble and bubble needs bursting, it is no longer a correction it is a burst. because again traders for the same reason need to take their profit and when they exit there will be mass panic and sell offs start hard and when things are like this that "buy pressure" vanishes into thin air because others aren't stupid, they see the sharp drop and want to get back in at lower prices not their open positions.
it is hard to predict things specially with Ethereum when it is heavily manipulated. that is why i have to wait and watch. i have already sold my coins and am looking into other altcoins which haven't yet been pumped to make the most of it.

this is not a bubble imho, look at the all chart for many coins, everything is pumped, it's not about ethereum only, this only mean that new money have come to crypto and are pumping everything, buying blindly what they can, even bitcoin return almost to the point before the dump, i was thinking at first that the bitcoin money was moving to other cyrpto, but i was wrong it's definitely new money from newbie

Most altcoins are bought with bitcoin. Bitcoin holders are moving into altcoins as a hedge against falling bitcoin prices in case of a hard fork. Newbies have a hard time even buying bitcoin, let alone Ether and Monero.

It depends on the nature of the hard fork. If that is to improve it, then the price will rise further.

I think a lot depends on what Bitcoin does from here.
If it consolidates and then continues the bull run, ETH and other alts will suffer until Bitcoin takes a rest.
If Bitcoin crashes then Ethereum is the natural successor (at this point) and will do very well indeed.

Pumpereum as bitcoin successor? to be honest, i have never used for payment transactions other crypto than BTC, and several times also doge, but doge is nearly dead now. Litecoin used to be called silver to bitcoin gold... and look at it now.

The largest Darknet market according to DeepDotWeb is AlphaBay and they are going to integrate Ether as well as Bitcoin and Monero for transactions May 1. When AlphaBay announced Monero integration last August Monero hit an all time high.

Sure its bubble, I just regret a bit that I didn't hold my little ether for long holding for a long time is not a problem for me. So until last week I wasn't planning to buy ETH ever again, but now i am considering to buy some when price is anywhere below 20$ after the bubble bursts and hold long until another bubble emerges even if it takes years (dont really care about the wait)

That is right. If the problem of the bitcoin is solved faster, other altcoins will suffer as people will go back to bitcoin.

It was 0.052 a few days ago.

Really a bubble? I don't think so.
1. The price for BTC has rised, so you can't compare what have been - time ago - with the present of BTC now. 2. Taking out the extreme peaks, the price for ETH is ~15% deeper than the ATH, but steadily rising for weeks with normal tolerance.
So if there have been a burst of a bubble (which many people don't get tired in predicting or revealing), you should find ETH at 20 bucks or much lower. Do we? No. ETH is at 44$.

The price is still around $50 at present. It is very stable.

Lol just a very small correction after an epic pump and some people are already shitting themselves. This is not even close to a bloodbath (yet). Markets never change. Ethereum has a HUGE brand recognition within the corporate space. I'm not saying you should buy at $80 but unless there is some black Swan, ethereum prices will certainly never drop to something like 15$ again. The times of cheap ether are over.

yeah doesn't seem like a bubble pop at all, people have been enjoying the 10-20% gains week every week and then freak out when the alts pull back. I'm actually pretty surprised they've held so strong with this latest btc pump. good things ahead imo.

Is it true that Ethereum will be testing the changing of protocol to proof of stake by the end of this year and it is highly likely that it will be the prime focus this year .What ever may be the case it had over 900% plus surge in the last few months and thereby pushing its market capitalization to over $7.33 billion. I'm not saying you should buy at $80 but unless there is some black Swan, ethereum prices will certainly never drop to something like 15$ again. The times of cheap ether are over.
I do not see any significant drop in price but we could see a minor correction after every rally and even i am expecting a minor dip pretty soon.
