Hi I'm trying to use cryptocompare to calculate my mining profitability but I'm not sure what wattage my GPU is using while mining. Could anyone with an RX480 card give me some idea of the wattage I would be using?

Here:

Dual miner Claymore
RX 480 8GB Sapphire Nitro
30.5MH/s ETH + 600 MH/s DCR
Watt total per card 170 - 180w

Different algoritms consume different power. I have 5 Sapphire Nitro+ cards and when mining zcash they draw 800 watts from the wall. Monero mining draws around 700 watts (maybe less). System consumes around 100 watts and each card consumes around 120-150 watts depending on coin mined. My cards are undervolted with moderate overclock.

What manufacter № is your cards? There is several variants:
11260-01-20G
11260-07-20G
11260-10-20G
etc.

Not sure if I understand what you are asking. Where can I check this number?

Each card has their model number marked on a label at backside. Also available on item box.

When you buy a card this number in the characteristics of product. F.e. like there. It's SKU and it's identify group of cards with identical vbioses. Sapphire use this for different series or the same cards differes from each other by core/mem clocks and sometimes core voltage, therefore different power consumption...
As I know 11260-01-20G have max core clock and power consumtion. Each next number is more optimized in power consumption by lowering core clock and maybe core voltage with small perfomance drop.
I want to know difference between these groups in mining speed.

Koody could you share the bios mod you have for that result?

Thanks!!

11260-01-20g (8gb) and 11260-02-20g (4gb) Samsung memory.

Maybe above two are identical cards. I've flashed same bios to all of my cards and getting very similar results in terms of power consumption and mining speed.

I have different rx 470 nitro+ 4Gb, I think that the consume can be very similar to the GPU's you have.
You can sacrifice some performance with down volt and down clock and stay around 90W per card, on the other hand you can reach 170/180W.

That being said, we cannot give you a detailed answer with only those details. The range is quite large depending on your configuration

I already share this bios on https://forum.ethereum.org/categories/mining
