My wallet keeps showing it is connecting and I don't get any peers.

I have disabled windows firewall, kaspersky internet security, opened the port 8333 on the router and still nothing.

Can someone help me?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

If you supply some more information about your wallet people will find it easier to help you.

Are you using a multibit HD wallet, or a multibit classic wallet? What's the version number of the wallet you are using?

I'm using Multibit HD 0.5.1 updated today, but had the same problem with the last version, before the update. I updated thinking it would solve it.

Have you tried repairing your wallet yet? If you haven't go to tools, then select "Repair wallet", then select "Next" as this page explains.

https://multibit.org/help/hd0.3/repair-wallet.html

If that doesn't work you will find alternative fixes for your problem here.
