Agree with this.. I think much better to hide his ip if he using aws hosting he can protect his real ip from those ddos attackers.
DDOS and bruteforcing many people are doing this most of my website..
And i agree that spam or ddos in your website is nothing can do with bitcoin function

No i think if you added your website in cloud flare they can prevent them even you reg free. just increase the security to full.
And i think it can help your site to protect..

Or much better to host it in aws for more full control about your site. hiding ip is always a good to do when someone are ddos attack..

If this is coming from someone in core they should really go ahead and stop as we're the same people who are attempting to fight for decentralization and the better of the bitcoin community as a whole. This isn't the way in the least to censor people from seeing what BTU is actually for.

Let people be educated on what BTU is so they can make the decision on whether to support it or not, it's rather a simple process in order to not censor people.

So, whoever is DDOS'ing this, you should stop it and allow people to educate themselves.

A lot of sites struggle to deal with DDoS attacks and it is not a failure if you cannot "cope" with these attacks. There are people with loads of

resources to fund these attacks and these people are specialists in their field. I have been part of sites where they were DDoS'ed and it is a

pain in the ass to get rid of this. Judge the developers by the code they produce, and not how they handle DDoS attacks that are quite common.

[Technicality]

It's interesting because this could be seen from two perspectives, both of which are equally invalid.

On the one hand, you have the inability of BU to keep their website active through attempted DDoS attacks, but this is invalid because really good hackers (which people working with Bitcoin often can be) can surely get past very good protection.

On the other hand you could argue that it shows hostility of some SegWit supporters, but this is invalid because it doesn't represent them as a whole.

So generally, neither argument about this is actually valid and it shouldn't matter except for the fact that you won't be able to see it anymore.
