Is Bitcoin the best crypto? Why?

I may be a newbie in the world of bitcoin but I could say it is the best crypto by far. As it is the first digital currency, it's fame is also rising. Investors from other countries are getting a hold of bitcoins slowly. Also I've heard and read that bitcoins will be more precious than gold so we'll never know, a few years from now bitcoins will be on top. And aside from that it's the best because it is accessible everywhere, some countries have bitcoin ATM's and you can buy stuff online or pay bills online just by using the digital currency. At this era, people are dependent on the internet and mobile phones so in time it will be a necessity for everyone and an advantage too.

Best only if you consider adoption(number of markets, media attention). Other features like confirmation time, blockchain size, POW aren't best

the best especially for those who happen to be new from the crypto world as well known crypto currency bitcoin already established its name and most of the alts are trying to imitate and create more features and function to cover up possible lapses from its system but for me bitcoin still consider by much many supporters of crypto because of its uses.

As we know, the king Bitcoin, mother of all crypto, is on a very stead bull rise. This time is not like 2013, the uptrend is slower, more controlled, and sustained over time. Ever massive selloffs like the few ones we have seen due the shady chinese government PBoC press releases, cannot stop bitcoin from going up. It always recovers stronger than before. All you have to do is keep buying all those dips.

The question arises: What's the point of holding alts? Not a single altcoin seems worth holding when BTC performs this good. Not a single altcoin is revolutionary enough to be a serious #1 contender. So what's the point in any case? might as well go all in on BTC.

1. BTC transaction capacity is already maxed out.
2. BTC is Wasting enormous amount of electricity and real estate storing ASICS.
3. BTC Proof of Work is a Technical Dead End
4. BTC is already priced out of the micropayments industry , with the now ever increasing fees, it will price itself out of many Foreign markets.
5. BTC is Centralized and Manipulated by China (Never know when they will have to sell to prop up the Yuan.)
6. BTC Miners are the only ones that can receive Transaction fees for processing blocks


I Hold ZEIT for the following reasons

1. ZEIT has 20X the Transactions Capacity as BTC
2. ZEIT is Energy Efficient.
3. ZEIT has enough coins to be affordable across the world.
4. ZEIT will own the micropayments industry.
5. ZEIT is economical to be maintained for a very small sum of fiat, unlike the millions required to keep BTC running.
6. ZEIT is changing to an Ultra Low Inflation coin , meaning the Price will rise
7. ZEIT is PoST (Proof of Stake Transactions) , Anyone that runs a wallets will be able to process a transaction fee when they stake. 

8. And the Final Reason to Hold ZEIT's Upside Profit Potential is in the X1000000 range, with BTC even if it hits $10,000 per BTC, you limited to X10. 

 

Aspects of some alt's may be better.. it's debatable of course but reasonable.
You all need to envision the effects of BTC popularity applied to another coin.
You all seem utterly blinded by it's price and popularity etc.
And no BTC's greater adoption level does not prove it's "better".
That just proves it was chosen over others.. and the fact it was the first pretty much means it had a hefty advantage getting to be no. 1.

I am surprised all the guys here have not hammered this topic with the technical reasons why BTC is 2nd rate.
The noobs are piling in saying it's better because ..they like it 
The people you need to listen to are the experts on the technical side of things.

If we say the best is certainly not overall, but if we say that the most popular and sought yes, this is because the bitcoin is a pioneer of cryptocurrency so that all the people who know cryptocurrency then they will say bitcoin.

I added some bold notices to your post, in the overall, i agree with you about the reasons why someone should answer here, and that experts have the best answers, you can't judge a project because is famous, or adopted, or because the price is "skyrocketing". Only fools invests because in a coin because it is "cool" or "funy".

Yes I agreed. Not the best now because of the BU vs Core issue and that it remains to be seen. And since its the pioneer, its the most popular especially the hype that was with the Winklevoss ETF application but was rejected by SEC. Market price was still unstable though and the ATH during the first week of March was replace by a price dip as of today.

The best crypto by far, yes. Bitcoin still has some flaws that many developers are trying to solve on their new coins. I believe that bitcoin will be surpassed by other altcoins soon.

I think bitcoin is the best crypto in this generation, that's because all altcoin is compared and or converted to BTCitcoin and it is the first cryptocurrency and one of the most largest and most valuable among all coins out in the market. The exchange rate of BTCitcoin to USD right now is somewhere $1,200 and still increasing so I think it's really hard for other cryptocurrency to beat BTCitcoin. So for me BTCitcoin will be and always be the best cryptocurrency out in the market.

yes because for me bitcoin as the mother of cryptocurrency and could survive until now and once again bitcoin has proven from worthless became valuable also from less than $0.1 bitcoin could surpassing gold several times ago and for other altcoins i don't think could able equal to bitcoin achievements

I agree that bitcoin is the best because of being the first and successful. It is still the most expensive coin which is also for the fact of it being the best. However, if we talk about technical characteristics, I think bitcoin has problems (increasing fees, hard fork threat, hard smart contracts) which are solved partially by other coins like Ethereum, Dogecoin and Byteball.
