There's already been a few threads on this, but it seems worth warning people again. Cloudbet is refusing to allow me to withdraw my funds. I've been trying for 5 days now, had multiple support tickets closed without response. I've included their latest response below. Note that they are citing two "rules" that are nowhere documented on their site.
1. You have to make a wager (I did)
2. You have to withdraw to the same bitcoin address (I no longer have access to that wallet)

Fortunately, my case is "only" .15 BTC so not that big of a loss if I can't get it. Either way, I won't ever be using their site again -- good luck to you if you do.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

We notice that you have deposited and are now submitting for a withdrawal without having made any wagers. Can I ask that you explain your reasons for doing this?

If you wish to withdraw without making use of Cloudbet's services, you will need to withdraw to the same wallet address that you made your deposit from. Once this is done, please contact support again and we will check the destination address.

Best regards,

Adrian

Why is the support ask if why didn't wager if you already wager.  I think support of cloudbet is not that dumb to ask you a question without basis. I see many scam accusation on cloudbet it all comes from newbie without proper proof.  But of you are telling the truth,  cloudbet don't have the rights yoir withdrawal of you really don't do anything against the rules because AFAIK,  there is no rule on cloudbet that needs a wager before to withdraw.  Unless that money is a bonus

Thats why the have held on to your funds and most btc/fiat businesses will question you on that

I think you made a mistake because every website (Except a little) , when you have a deposit . you have to place your bet or wager at least 1 time, example: like you deposit 1 bit, you have to bet all that 1 bit then you will have permit to withdraw. That's the normal rule of all bet website. And the problem that you lost your wallet ,i think you should get some help from support of that website . Not going here, crying and make like it's a big thing and bla bla bla... Hope you enjoy it !

This is true, cloudbet would not be dumb enough to ask this thing if there's no basis and in fact on what you have said that most people complaining are newbies without any strong proofs. If he refuse withdrawal even you did the things required but sadly the btc account you used have fastly lost it?how?if you used it to deposit then asking for withdraw I guess it's not too long time.

I've been using cloudbet for almost a year now and i experienced the same thing once, all you need to do is cancel your withdrawal request and make a wager (i guess all of the amount you deposited before you make a withdrawal) and after that you can withdraw your money instantly. I did that and i doubt you already made a wager that is equal the amount you did deposit and trying to withdraw. can we ask you how much you did wager already?

its confusing support will review an account before asking you for some details i'm not sure if that's the policy to make some wager before you can withdraw and if that's so we must comply just like other said you can bet just a little and its not hard then withdraw.

Both of the above rule doesn't make any sense and they mustn't treat you as scammer. You have made a deposit and you also should have right to withdraw it wherever you want. I have already stopped betting with them long time ago and will continue to suggest other to use directbet.eu like sportsbook where you don't have to wait for your withdrawal request to get approved.

But it looks like you have already made one bet after depositing, what makes them think that you haven't wagered anything. Also they are deducting transaction fees from users to include in withdrawal so why they should be worried about anyone withdrawing just after making deposit.  Angry Smells fishy to me

The amount of threads with Cloudbet scams are hiking per day in numbers.I would take that as a warning before depositing any money.Although their main account on bitcointalk probably cares replying to complaints here, not sure how exactly they end since they only allow email as a means of solving the problem.

Well I can see why they made these two rules.

The rules make sense. I mean if you are not gambling that means you are using their site as an online wallet, as they offer zero transaction fee i think. And right now the bitcoin transaction fees are so damn high that they cannot afford everyone doing it.

However, that is not in the terms and conditions as far as i can see, and you said that you wagered so i don’t really see any problem with letting you withdraw.

Cloudbet doesn’t have the best reputation in the bitcoin casino scene though.

Cloudbet should really step up their game and stop seizing people’s funds for nothing.

You haven’t stated the rules in your terms and conditions, the player has not cheated you out of anything(at least according to him), he has not done anything that is illegal to deserve his funds to be seized. The whole point of using bitcoin is to have instant deposits and withdrawals.

On your site you claim that you offer instant withdrawals most of the time, but my personal experience with you guys say otherwise.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone use Cloudbet… Their reputation is pretty bad as Yuuto said.

Hi there,

Could you pop me your email address and I will look into the issue for you.

Due to AML policy, we do not allow players to deposit and then withdraw without making any bets. We reserve the right to charge a fee in that case (as per 5.1.8 of our T&Cs), and the withdrawal needs to be to an address you deposited from.

If - as appears to be the case in your account - you have indeed wagered, we will be able to process your withdrawal for you.

Thanks in advance.

Leandro

We are not currently charging players bitcoin network fees for withdrawals. We reserve the right however to change this in the future.

Hi Leandro, how about users using a web wallet to deposit in your cloudbet account, how come they are able to use the address that is used in the transaction when that is held by the web wallet, don't you think that as a dumb rule because there are many people using those services, does that rule holds for every user or is it only for individuals who deposits the amount and not wage any bet or is it a general rule.

This rule does not apply to actual customers who make wagers.

If you are using a web wallet and cannot use the same address twice, that is fine, as long as you are an actual player. The above rule only applies to users who attempt to use Cloudbet as a mixing service without playing any games.

FWIW, those of you that said "keep fighting, you'll eventually get it," were correct. After 5 days, I ended up getting most of my funds.

I still won't be using this service ever again. I shouldn't have to fight made up rules, incorrectly applied, with shitty support. There's plenty of competition for my business.

Of course nobody will wonder that you will never use their service again. Why would you when you made a "shitty" attempt to use their service as a mixing service.

You sound like a criminal. Albeit one of the less intelligent ones.

That is the reason they are doing this.

They are feeling that players are using their site as a mixing service. To hide transactions or for not having to pay any fees to send from their player wallets.

That is what this is all about.

It doesn't matter if your trying to withdraw 1mbtc or 150mbtc, they will tell you the exactly same thing if no bets were received from the time you deposited to the time you request a withdrawal. They shouldn't have the withdrawal in a pending status then days later change it to refused or denial for withdrawal. They should just tell you straight away it is not allowed because this confuses people and waiting 72 hours is a waste of the one who put money into the wallet in the first places time.

Big dom the donkey destroyer.
