So i have been thinking today that if a HF happened how would i get my privkeys from my core node? so that i can claim my BU, which would be dumped on an exchange pretty quick.

Since BU is based on Core, you can just copy your wallet.dat file from Core to a BU instance and be able to spend the Bitcoin from there.
