I have a wallet at btcfaucet.com, logged in today to see the following message

"BTCfaucet is under a transition. The wallet service will be ceased indefinitely. Instead, the faucet will have drips of bitcoins every now and then with public txid's. This could take a few days. Thanks for your patience!"

I have emailed them but haven't heard back yet. I use this wallet for collecting my freebies from the various sites, and have built up some decent balances on some, and am now a bit concerned. Some sites don't let you change your payment address you see. Anyone have any knowledge or advice of what to do here? I would like to keep an online wallet so any recommendations on a new one? I liked this one as it was simple and clean. Is there anyway I can keep my bitcoin address but transfer where the wallet is kept?

Thanks for any help or advice.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

You might have lost your coins. Don't use web wallets. Use a hybrid or downloadable one like Blockchain.info (recommended) or bitcoin-qt

Update.

Have spoken by email and have had my coins transfered to my new wallet. Everything is good.
