If that is possible everybody will chose to live forever. The fear of losing the loved ones grips us.

We were not made to live forever. That means that we follow the cause of nature and that means live move in cycle and that means we should not desiring to live forever . If you look at other creations you find out that we all die and also reproducing and that is how the cycle work.

I totally agree with you and i don't want to be immortal. I am looking forward to meeting my family that is heaven again. If we were meant to live forever God would have make us immortal ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Of course. For several hundred years I could learn everything and be an expert in any direction.
I think it would be a very good choice, to stay to study all the knowledge that there is in this world, it is a very good reason, it is something like a monk or a wise person, it would be to obtain the gift of wisdom with all the time to learn.

I already chose to live forever, at the moment when I accepted Jesus as my savior. In the physical world we have many limitation because of our body. Do you really think that you will enjoy your life here on the Earth as very old man, 150 years or more, very sick, unable to walk, eat etc.? But in the spiritual world there is no limits and I wants such eternity.

If most people didn't want to survive, they wouldn't fight so hard to survive. People who don't want to live commit suicide. The percentage of suicides of the whole population is small. Perhaps if a person lived in a healthy way to 500 years, then he might find that he doesn't want to live any longer, just out of boredom, or some other lack of interest in life. Personally, I think that there will always be interest in life and the things around us. There are always new things of interest being found. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Having longer life is good. But having eternal? For some or most people it may be cool or awesome. It think, yes it will be fun until situation changes. You can't always say everyday is a normal day. What if something horrible, super terrible happened and you are there to witness, or worst, experience it. That would be no fun at all. Hence, it would be traumatic even if you can live through it. And even if you live through it, even the most adventorous people will not consider it fun, knowing they can survive it. So I really think it's not that fun.

My only thing about my life is we are born in this world to live happily and enjoy our life so that the problems are came for everyone in any situation that we need to regret them because if we take care so much about the sadness then you will not live in this world with your good life.

Would YOU choose to live forever?![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.freedomsphoenix.com%2FUploads%2FGraphics%2F533-0324062731-3E90C3AD00000578-4343142-image-a-491490287795555.jpg&t=663&c=BH-mn81R6JkS6g) Scientists have made a discovery that could lead to a revolutionary drug that actually reverses ageing.
The drug could help damaged DNA to miraculously repair and even protect Nasa astronauts on Mars by protecting them from solar radiation.
A team of researchers developed the drug after discovering a key signalling process in DNA repair and cell aging.
During trials on mice, the team found that the drug directly repaired DNA damage caused by radiation exposure or old age.
'The cells of the old mice were indistinguishable from the young mice after just one week of treatment,' said lead author Professor David Sinclair.
Human trials of the pill will begin within six months. Read more at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4343142/Human-trials-age-reversing-pill-start-six-months.html.![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) If it is true, then science should give us any proof of humen who are living above two centuries. Actually, it is just discovery but in reality we can't see anything like science wise a man is living 200 or 300 years. I think we should live in reality, for me it is just discovery and nothing more.

I'll speak behalf of people first, if a life last forever then it will become meaningless, all the charme of living is being mortal.. But, if I had to say something about it, I certainly disagree, because I already want to die right now, I am waiting for my life to end impatiently, I'd be disappointed if it lasts forever..

We already love forever, in spiritual world, with our spiritual body. Don't think that earthly life is everything. In fact, we die twice in our lives and we are born three times, in mother's womb, in this world and in spiritual world. For this world we have to develop lungs in order to love and for spiritual world we need love otherwise we can't breathe there.

I am 62 as is my wife. I would want the two of us to age backwards to 22 years old.
40 years to get back 22. Stay at 22 for 40 years. Then age normally so I would get 40+40+40=
120 extra years and be back to 62. It would give me the longest marriage in modern times.
My wife and I would be about 182 but look like 62. It would be the year 2139.

I think it will be impossible to live forever in organic body no matter how often we repair this part of the gene. By the way, we would have to give up having children to live forever.. . Imagine how boring that would be. Maybe those who choose to live forever or thousands of years will need shapeshifting robots with multiple personalities to reduce the boredom of living with thesame characters for thousands of years. I fancied living forever when I was an atheist but the thought today makes me want to throw up.
If you are more focused on living a moral lifestyle, you will dislike the idea of living forever here on earth.

My general rule is as follows:
"As long as I have the off switch"
The obvious assumption is that in order to live forever, there's going to be a general switch in biology, in the sense that we're going to start essentially becoming cyborgs (either modifying our bodies in order to enhance longevity, or a non-gradual switch into being digitized completely).
I'm more inclined to be OK w/ option 1, but only if I have the ability to decide to cease to exist.
