I think it worked. I send you some funds via another channel connected to you that routed the payment. Check if you can see it.

Hmm, not sure.  I don't see a channel with a balance other than between my two nodes.  (FYI, i have inbound ports 18333-->core and 9735--> eclair open)

here's some screenshots of the current state of my public node.

Here's a screencap of successful payment between 2 nodes across the Internet.

Each node has ports 18333-->core and 9735-->eclair opened.

I updated my LN nodes to eclair alpha2.

I set up a 3 node network, with each node accepting inbound connections.  I attempted to establish a circular network where node A --> Node B --> node C --> back to node A.

The client software is extremely glitchy at this point.  Sometimes nodes will connect, and other times, the nodes won't ever leave "WAITINGFORFUNDING" status.

Restarting the node and trying to click reconnect does nothing.  I was never able to make a LN payment in this configuration.

I'll try this all again when they release another build.

Why not just use Paypal?

They fucked me over once in their early days, (around 2002?)

My plan is to put them out of business.  Bitcoin/LN seems like a good way.

but somehow, a Blockstream(AXA)-controlled and 'regulated' side chain is going to be sooooo much better.

The lightning network is not blockstream controlled nor is it regulated nor is it a sidechain.

I'm glad you agree with me.  (a lot of people seem to really hate LN for some reason)

Do you have an eclair LN node address to share?  Don't forget to open port 9735 to your eclair client in order to accept incoming LN channels.

And let me know if you need some testnet coins.

Cheers!

What? In what way does the lightning network that is open source, and is developed by 4 different independent teams in any way related to blockstreams sidechains? You come across as a clueless angry person, please stop hijacking our thread where we test the lightning network.

<helo> funny that this proposal grows the maximum block size to 8GB, and is seen as a compromise
<helo> oh, you don't like a 20x increase? well how about 8192x increase?

Alright so Segwit is now going hot on Litecoin. Anyone up for testing Eclair lightning nodes on mainnet?

It only requires few modifications in the config files and we can get it running up against litecoin. Also alpha3 is out and has better management inside the lightning wallet.

I am willing to send the first Litecoin for free to anyone that wants to test this out with me.

For anyone that wants to be ready for the Litecoin activation and start sending Litecoins over the Lightning Network, please find configuration details here: https://gist.github.com/sstone/4746992b6d0f53db2d55116e50cc4d03

Remember to download Litecoin-qt

I have one lnd node running now on testnet, was able to open some channels with other nodes, so please feel free to connect to my node here:
