There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

may i ask why don't you want to use Electrum? was there any particular problem or lack of feature that made you decide that?

in any case, you can visit https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet and see the alternatives. click on the platform you want to use the wallet on and then click on each wallet to see the details.
Multibit-HD is another SPV wallet which people usually go to.
Bither seems to be another SPV wallet but i have no idea how it works.

Electrum is the go to wallet right now as the dynamic fee calculator is very good and you can always use RBF to send replaceable, not to mention hardware wallet integration with Trezor and Nano S. The Android app is just as good but without hardware wallet support.

I heard many times about multibit-hd but is it lite weight or you still need to download the whole blockchain?

Yeah your right dynamic is really good but when setting for instant to slow almost highest fee that i seen right now .. unlike before that the maximum is 50k satoshi if you can seen the dynamic today they are asking for 0..001 or above.
So that is why i am looking for other wallet which is has similarity for electrum because electrum is one of the good wallet never had any problem but the fee is very high..

let me ask about the trezor if you still need to download the whole blockchain?
Never heard about nano S. but i'll check the official page.

Trezor works with Electrum but many users use it with wallet.trezor.io which uses the http://bitcoinfees.21.co API to set fees. You do not need to download the blockchain.

I have to disagree... The Android App is terrible. The UI is horrible and the damn app just keeps crashing on my Nexus 7 tablet and my Galaxy S5 Sad

MultiBit HD is an "SPV" wallet like Electrum. You do not need to download the whole blockchain to be able to use it.

I think trezor is work in extension or plugin in browser.. i need is a desktop wallet which is you have fully control with your wallet that you can also use some debugging mode or commands like in electrum or bitcoin-qt.

Electrum is the go to wallet right now as the dynamic fee calculator is very good and you can always use RBF to send replaceable, not to mention hardware wallet integration with Trezor and Nano S. The Android app is just as good but without hardware wallet support.

Yeah i am trying this wallet now .. well since i was new to use this wallet and still not experience any problem i think it will be ok..
Upon checking some comments about this wallet from other people i think this wallet are great alternative..

I think much better to stay in electrum or in mycelium since i already tested the mycelium just few days ago i experience great as of now..

Electrum is the best SPV wallet so far out there and honestly there are very few good alternatives to it as desktop wallets. For me the only better wallets are Bitcoin Core which needs to download the whole blockchain so is not practical for all and Armory which requires the user to be a bit more advanced in knowledge to use it.

In the end I suggest you to stick with electrum as day to day desktop wallet and a hardware wallet for longer term funds keeping.

for something sensitive like your cold storage wallet, it is best to use the most popular code. and it is not just because of trust but also because the more popular some code is, the more it is reviewed and as a result it will have far less possible bugs.
i suggest using: https://www.bitaddress.org/ instead. it is more popular and more tested.
its repo: https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org

I don't honestly understand what is bitaddress wallet.. upon checking and testing the site in the first attempt they teach me to move my mouse to make random wallet until you can see 100% and your address and private key will appear so where are the wallet after you make a random wallet?
I just confuse what i will do next ..

I think i'm satisfied with multibit hd its more simple but let me try bitaddress i'm interested with this wallet how this works.

U may download the source code of https://Coinb.in and use it offline.

Otherwise, feel free to check what others are using - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=468095.0
Interesting so you mean we can use this wallet even its offline without internet?
How about when transferring funds via offline to another wallet.? Well upon checking in whois the site is old and i think owner is from UK and its looks legit..
I am just afraid since i never heard that there are wallet that you can use offline..

for something sensitive like your cold storage wallet, it is best to use the most popular code. and it is not just because of trust but also because the more popular some code is, the more it is reviewed and as a result it will have far less possible bugs.
i suggest using: https://www.bitaddress.org/ instead. it is more popular and more tested.

just use whatever you feel most comfortable with. that is the important part.
but as far as bitaddress goes it uses your browser (Javascript) to generate your private keys and as the random number generation goes, it uses your random mouse movement.
after the generation is over (100%) it shows you a new page which you can copy the bitcoin address (on the left saying SHARE in green) and private key (on the right saying SECRET in red) and you are done.

there are other tabs that are generated which you can use. and i think they are pretty self explanatory. for example the paper wallet tab gives you a pretty paper wallet to print.
you can also copy the generated private key in first tab and paste it in the last tab (wallet details) and encrypt it with BIP38 passphrase.

You have a point and yes i am satisfied with the new wallet multibit hd i think i don't need to go far since the wallet is just basic or more simple than the other wallet..
i am not familiar with bitaddress but maybe i will need it once i  want to save a bitcoin for holding purposes and hold it for a long time because this kind of wallet is just like a cold storage..
