Hi all,
So much years wandering and finally made the step to build a rig with 6 cards.
http://imgur.com/a/r17r5

Wish me luck on my way to mining.
Anyone using 2 PSUs in the same rig? I saw some tutorials and some people are using a power spliter to run both psus, some are directly plugin both without it.
What do you think I should do? Should I plug the first psu into the mobo and one-two of the cards and the other one in the rest of the cards? Or I should use this spliter for sure? Is there anyrisk If I am not using the spliter? Should I use red button?
THanks!

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

No, it is 2*700 PSUs, on the picture you can see only the first one.

If you dont have this you should buy:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261934504230  (to connect/sync both psu)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131930469208  (great quality and cheap power switch)

Hi,
Thanks!
Can I directly plug first psu with mobo and 2-3 cards and the other 3 cards with the second one without using any additional gadget? I do not want to safe 3$ into buying a split, but it will take time to order and deliver, I want to start mining now
Thanks

Yes, you can. The only thing you need to do is use a jumper on your mobo cable of your 2nd PSU, and then manually start both PSU.

Eth might be a good horse to bet on. If ETH switches to pos there will be way less freshly created eth.

Eth might be a good horse to bet on. If ETH switches to pos there will be way less freshly created eth.

Plus even if PoS is delayed, they may cut the block reward to 3 or 4 (from 5) to offset the impact of the Ice Age delay. So in most scenarios being proposed, the daily amount of ETH being generated will soon be reduced.

Already answered in post #9. Turn on the second PSU (hooked up to cards only) first.

I'm 99% sure ETH will be PoW forever, and that Vitalik just says it is changing to PoS to FUD anyone thinking of developing ASIC.  Grin

Sounds like a good trick if true, until now eth doing very well pushing asics away.
