ehehhe... newbe here...
s7 and s5, like S9, T9 R4 and all other asic miner, can just mine SHA-256 algo... or better... i think bitmain asic can mine jusr bitcoin SHA-256 coin..
for sure they manage just SHA-26 algo...

no, bud it is not.   Antminer S7 & S5 are ASICs. they can ONLY hash the SHA256D algo (BTC's algo)
they can mine ANY coin that uses the SAME algo, they CANNOT str8 mine ETH as ETH's algo is "ETHash" (dagger hashimoto)

Just get an AMD 470 video card & mine ETh,you have about 6 months maybe 8 to mine it..........

Forget mining Bitcoin,too costly & returns are crap.....unless BTC goes up ALOT,like $3000-5000 per coin....

Even then the ASIC makers will stop selling gear & mine it themselves I'd bet

if you live in country where energy is not so expensive, i mean under or eq to 0.10$ per Kwatt, you can start to mine sone altcoin wit GPU,
then sell it to buy bitcoin...
If you areno interested to learn how dows mining work, just buy bitcoin directly.. put it in the box... and wait...

To answer your question, you can mine peercoins (around 6 per day),

to mine Namecoin you just point it to a mining pool like eligious or f2pool that mines btc and namecoin, then you will see that you get approx 0.005 btc and 0.02 NMC per day. You can then proceed to sell those btc for NMC on btc-e and you will get like 10 NMC or so depending on the exchange rate.

So no, you will not get more $ by mining other coins with a bitcoin miner, unless their value rises enough. You can however use your btc earnings to buy other altcoins if you fancy them.

You should factor in the cost of electricity and see if isn't it worth more to just sell the miner and buy yourself some coin.
