http://www.gallup.com/poll/201617/gallup-daily-trump-job-approval.aspx

35%... that's super low

How low?  Only 5 presidents have had a lower approval rating at *any point during their presidency* (Nixon, Carter, Truman, Bush Sr, Bush Jr)

1/4 of his own party doesn't approve of the job he has been doing

Vladimir Putin has an approval rating of 80%... Putin's *lowest* rating was 60% (nearly double Trump's current approval rating)

No president has had an approval rating this low so early into his term... ever

And all in the first 100 days. It took a possible impeachment, serious bi partisan divide over multiple terms, and a questionable second term reelection to reach these lows. Our boy Trump is doing it all on his ample charm. It's bigger than his hands.

Bigly. Super bigly.

And, in Trumps defense, all the Russian media outlets with a voice are state controlled
He (Putin) can't help but have a decent approval rating, he sets it himself.

And let's see what happens with the tax reform he promised. Wall Street popped a gasket  (and record highs) on the belief that profits would be up due to deregulation and tax reduction. We will literally go into a global recession if the tax reform isn't delivered. Too much shit going on (Brexit).

His rhetoric really appealed to a certain subset of America. We had Evangelicals voting for a guy that said  'Two Corinthians'. We had rural guys voting for him when he promised EPA/ forestry/ wildlife and fishing funding cuts. We even had the working poor voting for a guy that promised a full instant repeal of ObamaCare (because that would have gone smoothly, non matter how it went down). He promised to return them to a time when things were better, seemingly, but it's like no one Sat down and agreed on exactly what that time was.

He said 'grab em by the pussy'. Lincoln spun briskly in his grave.  But yet, despite the decidedly unorthodox behavior, he made it.

Says alot about where we are now, as Americans.

The approval ratings doesnt show the totality of the population it is just a mere random sampling from different sectors of the society. The survey could also be biased and was manipulated by the poll host who are being influenced also by the Clintons party. They are really doing their job to destroy the president of America, instead of criticizing him just help him to make good laws for the sake of America.

But yet with all the criticism, he is still having issues making said 'good laws'.

You would think with this much feedback, negative or no, he'd have that shit in the bag right now, am I right? And the purpose of a survey is to be random, that way, the results of the survey won't be subject to bias. Although the election polling was wildly inaccurate, I wouldn't throw all political polling out of the window, just yet.

It would almost suggest that Trumps win was a statistical anomaly..

It's not worth to be surprised at what happened. The fact is that sometimes people are able to show results that are very surprising and lead to an imaginary not understanding. This happened with the last presidential election. Perhaps the lads are tired of peace and pacifism.

Not just you, us here in the Philippines too, and they over there in Europe. There are people left behind, with legitimate grievances, who desperate to have their problems solved would vote for anyone they believe will stand up for them. They were easy pickings for demagogues.

To be fair to Trump, he did not have the decades Putin had to build a propaganda machine. There are probably people in Russia who grew up with Putin in power. Not to mention how much they control the media there. Accuse your media outlets as "fake" as much as you want but they are still freer in comparison to what is in other countries.

It has been already established that the mainstream media is not capable of gauging the mood of the US voters, as proved by their disastrous opinion polls for the POTUS elections. So even if the media is showing 35% support for Trump, I believe that the real number is somewhere around 45%.

Public opinion showed that the majority of the US population supported Hillary. I have no reason not to trust them. The results of the voting confirmed it. For Hillary Clinton actually voted more Americans. With regard to fraud, if the Russians took part in it to prove it is not possible. America first time faced with such gross interference in the elections and was not ready for this.

That's why I do not vote. Because I do not see the point. All votes have already been purchased since it will be beneficial for the most influential people in the world. Even these percentages of the distrust rating can be untrue only for PR Trump.

The opinion polls also showed Hillary leading Trump by 6% to 10% in the rust-belt state of Wisconsin. When the actual results came, Trump won the state by a decent margin. There was no evidence of any sort of voter fraud in Wisconsin.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/201617/gallup-daily-trump-job-approval.aspx

35%... that's super low

I would like to point out the fact that the people who are saying he has a 35% approval rating are the same people who hate his guts (mainly the liberal media). They did predict that he was going to lose by a lot, and look how much he won by, so I have difficulty trusting the same polls now. Not to mention the fact that those polls are biased as hell.

Also, I wouldn't trust the Russian media to much. I'm not sure Putin really has an 80% approval rating (then again I don't know much about Russian politics other that a relatively biased documentary or two that I've watched), as the Russian media might be either making him look good, artificially boosting his approval rating; or just flat out lying about it.

I'm starting a technology blog T4CH.top, check it out!

A lot of this has to do with how the poll was taken... "registered voters" vs "likely voters" makes a huge difference... Voter polls are biased based on demographics... older people count more than younger people because they are "more likely" to actually vote

Public opinion polls (like the one this thread is about) has nothing in common with a presidential vote poll... they are two entirely different beasts, with different sets of rules, different people polled, different margin of error, etc

You are attempting to conflate apples and oranges... I'm not buying it

You poor fools have really fallen for Trump's, "Everything I don't like is fake news" claim

First, Gallop is a polling agency, not "mainstream media"

Gallop is the MOST TRUSTED POLLING AGENCY ON THE PLANET...

Gallop does not do "random sampling"... polling is extremely specific as to who gets polled... it must have exact percentages of each demographic

Gallop is not biased in favor of Republicans or Democrats... that's conspiracy theory nonsense (watch Alex Jones much?)

The only real way to manipulate a poll like this would be to phrase the question in a strange way... which was NOT done here

The actual number is 35% (+/- 3%, at 95% confidence)... that's how science works... that's how polling has always worked

If you don't know fuck-all about polling or science, keep your cum-dumpster shut

Yeah, because of fate of a superpower with population of hundreds of millions should be decided by people, who *feel* offended by bravado.

After hate year long campaign, that painted any and all Trump supporters as nazis and KKK members, I am suprised third of America is still standing behind their elected president. Mainstream media are not all powerful afterall.

First, you came here and put forward some wild claims as OP of this thread. When people did what you wanted and started responding, you turned all butthurt and resorted to Pornhub vocabulary.

Trump is just a clown. I do not understand why he was made president and how much this circus will last. Clinton has a higher rating, but he was very well advertised before the elections. For him it's just like a show and the opportunity to be on the front pages of magazine covers.

The survey could also be biased and was manipulated by the poll host who are being influenced also by the Clintons party. They are really doing their job to destroy the president of America, instead of criticizing him just help him to make good laws for the sake of America.

First, you came here and put forward some wild claims as OP of this thread. When people did what you wanted and started responding, you turned all butthurt and resorted to Pornhub vocabulary.

"Agree with me or shut up." Or rather "how not to influence anyone and lose friends".  Grin

You sir, seem to have missed your prozac.

Did I?

Do you seriously think that posting a Gallop poll is "some wild claims"?

Feel free to check other sources... do you have one that differs?

Or do you just want to claim I'm posting bullshit without providing any contradictory evidence?

Even Fox News agrees with the Gallop polls...

http://www.foxnews.com/official-polls/index.html

They only have 2 data points, but they are within 3% of the Gallop poll... and that's coming from FOX NEWS!

Once again... if you don't have anything factual, shut your butthurt snowflake pie-hole

Trump is just a clown. I do not understand why he was made president and how much this circus will last. Clinton has a higher rating, but he was very well advertised before the elections. For him it's just like a show and the opportunity to be on the front pages of magazine covers.

Apply some burnol, and you may get some relief. More than 4 months have passed since the elections, and you guys are still whining about the defeat of your candidate. Remember that Trump had a negative approval rating at the time of the elections. He only won the elections because the voters hated Hillary even more.
