Can I link my checking account and my bitcoin account?

Can it be tracked that I am pulling money from my checking account to my bitcoin account by the bank/investigators? My ultimate goal is to send monies back and forth like a ghost so no one and nothing can trace me.

Yes you can link your bank account to your bitcoin account inside the exchange. But of course in the exchange you will need to submit valid and legal ids to the exchange before doing any transactions such as purchase of bitcoin or converting your bitcoins into cash. But of course your transactions will be tracked only if somebody will track it. You do not need to worry only the central banks are going to look at the transactions and if you committed any crimes then thats where the police will come in.

It is clear that many people believe that bitcoin usage is anonymous and nobody can reveal their real identity. I do not know why they have this opinion but would be better for them to understand that bitcoin is only pseudonymous. Hence, there are some mixing services (tumblers) trying to protect the identity of their users.

Dealing with fiats in person alone may ensure about your anonymity. Electronic transactions of your fiats will disclose yourself. If you want full anonymity then not mixing up bitcoin account with bank account, that would be the right way of doing it.

Basically bitcoin transactions are pseudo-anonymous which means unless you are unveiling your bitcoin address, you may remain anonymous but your transactions will be visible to everyone. But linking your bank account with the bitcoin account, I guess it will ruin the complete benefits what we could enjoy with bitcoin ecosystem.

Withdraw your money and top up your bitcoin account, it is more safer.

It's definitely trackable, Coinbase have to keep these transactions accessible to the authorities, especially since the bank (obviously) knows about all transactions out of your account.

The only way to actually do it is to take your bank account money into physical cash, since they don't know exactly how you spend that cash, and you can then exchange that for Bitcoin on LocalBitcoins or another useful exchange.

I definetly agree with you, top up your wallet using your fiat then have the transaction you want. Anyway, yes it is the most safest way to purchase bitcoin since the store where you gonna buy will not know that you gonna top up bitcoin but they will just know that you gonna transfer money to some other countries.

I believe it is possible to link your checking account and bitcoin account. The only problem that you may encounter there is that once you link your bitcoin account to any bank-related stuff, they will be able to track all your transactions in it. Best way to become anonymous is to put all your money in Bitcoin and don't use any bank-related services.

If you want to protect your identity it's better not to link your bank account and bitcoin wallet cause you might get track through your bank account transaction.

Just to be clear, the only reason someone would want to hide his transaction is wanting to do some illegal stuff with it, but as long as he is not and for educational purpose only, you could easily hide your transactions by exchanging, what you do is you go to a peer to peer exchange site and you buy some bitcoin from a seller, those coins were transferred a hundred time so their source is hard to track and so will you.

If you get money from your wallet into your bank account it's clearly visible. The account is in your name.
And to the guy that said that you want to do that only because you're planning something  illegal, I must disagree. It's bad enough that we are made to pay all sorts of stupid taxes, big brother doesn't need to know what you're doing with your own money. Because that's what the government wants - to know everything, in order to control us. They want to tax your hard earned bitcoins. So why should anyone not want to hide their money? The best reason - not to feed the greedy piglet that is the government and the IRS.

Yes,mixing service does really make you more anonymous and its also being used by mostly people who do transfer large amounts of bitcoin and also to those people who do make illegal transaction because using this service will make you hard to be tracked.Yes,it depends on op on what method or way he would use.
