I've been reading quite a bit about pascal coins the last week. But unfortunately, I've not been able to find much information about the process by which accounts are created, how these are mined, and how to obtain one. I hope one or more of you can help enlighten me on this topic.

Are these accounts awarded at the same time a block is found or are these awarded separately? Is it like ZCash, wherein an account is instantaneously created for that block award? If that is the case, how are pools handling the creation and distribution of account rewards to those participating miners?

If these are not awarded alongside blocks, can these be mined solo? If so must you use the official pascalcoin software or could one be mined with Claymore?

I'm interested because it seems extremely difficult to obtain a full account, i.e. not linked to a long payload ID. If accounts are inherently planned to be a limited resource, it makes sense these will become a desirable product conceptualized by a similar supply and demand principles like that of the cryptocurrency itself.

It seems like the accounts will be limited resources, especially in the early stages of pascalcoin, as there are fixed numbers of how many are created. Attaching a payload ID to the end of an exchange's account number seems to be counterintuitive to the novelty idea of having a simple account number - an important detail that makes pascalcoin standout from other cryptocurrencies in this rapidly developing and competitive environment.

Hopefully some of you can clarify some of these questions! Thanks!!

These are great questions and I've been wondering about obtaining accounts myself.   From my understanding you receive 5 accounts per block found.   I thought that you also had to be solo-mining to acquire the accounts, but I'm not 100% sure here.

With that said, I've been solo-mining for several days without a block found.  I'm not putting a ton of hashing toward this (~500 MH/s) , so I'm wondering how futile my attempt is?

I hope someone can answer these questions along with yours soon. Smiley

FRI - I just found out that nanopool offers account rewards for every 20 PASC mined. I just received my first account today? I recently decided to mine more ETC and ETC. So I'll be using the Claymore Dual Miner for mining some PASC in the background when I'm not mining Zcash. Below is the info you will see when you click on settings on your account page.

Cool thanks for the info!  So did you just set your minimum payout to 20 with your public key and then see that appear in your Pascal Coin Wallet app?

Cool thanks for the info!  So did you just set your minimum payout to 20 with your public key and then see that appear in your Pascal Coin Wallet app?

LoL, this was my post like 4 or 6 weeks ago. I did figure out how to obtain the PASA (PASC account), but I'm not sure how to use it. It appears in my wallet when I search for accounts based on my keys. However, when I go to operations, it says the private key is not in my wallet so I cant complete any operations. So I'm not sure if there is a step I am missing.

My minimum payout is 1 PascalCoin, but the account will be given to you automatically shortly after your next 20th PascalCoin mined. It will show up in nanopool as an additional column like workers, calculator, etc.

You MUST have the official pascalcoin client app, as you have to enter the public key generated by you in the client under the JSON section of nanopool to obtain the account reward.

I finally got it working, but I'm not sure how.

What I did was click on the account info link next to the account list on Nanopool. I then copied the public key and put it in my wallet. However, I think the main problem was my wallet hadn't been opened in so long it was still updating the blockchain. So maybe if you wait for your block chain to completely update it will be visible in your wallet. Click the little checkbox in the wallet that says show accounts linked to my private keys, and it should show up in that list once he [Suspicious link removed]pletes updating.

Just don't lose your private keys! Then you're shit out of luck.
