I reckon that wall will come down too..
It's such a flat run up if it does. We saw 130 collapse in a matter of minutes, that relatively speaking was a similar height

No idea. The price might just touch $150 but it's coming down. There's only so much dumb money in the western world. Current price is not sustainable at all.

I'm mystified as to how the value of bitcoin fluctuates so wildly. We know there is a strong underlying case for Bitcoin in certain markets so it will always have use. We know that prices will shoot up when we get to 21 million as the supply will have disappeared. At that point I expect a stable price and will probably unload my investment. What baffles me is how it can increase and decrease in multitudes of its own price several times a month.

I'm still a total noob, but greed often leads to loss. I'm going to cash out at a nice chunk of gain for now. Not waiting for 150, or 200, 2000, 5000 Buy low, sell high. It can't be more complicated than that. When others are greedy be fearful, when others are fearful, be greedy.

Within two weeks. Peoples brains are slow to realize how physically useful BTC will be.
BTC is presently early stage insanely undervalued. $1000 = 1BTC this year.

I don't think he sold out... just took some profits: I'm going to cash out at a nice chunk of gain Nothing wrong with lowering your exposure when your bitcoins become more valuable than anything else you own . If he did sell out completely, that's unfortunate.

I wish I had a cat. No. I'm watching market. Everyday. I've already learned some lessons. By cashing out at a profit now, I'm looking at a roughly 75% return. Not bad for a complete amateur. I'm in this for the long run, and I'm looking for annual return rates of at least 10%. This is reasonable, and as my investment amount increases, so does that annual 10%. Greed is the bane of loss. If I see the market growing sustainably to 1000. I'll reinvest at higher prices, but for now it's far too early tell. Especially with the dramatic increases.

If you hold without thinking about selling any time soon then that means you have confidence in bitcoin and you don't worry about short term losses or gains. In other words, you aren't greedy nor fearful.

If you hold without thinking about selling any time soon then that means you have confidence in bitcoin and you don't worry about short term losses or gains. In other words, you aren't greedy nor fearful. Well, it can go both ways right? By holding and hoping for larger and larger gains that can be considered greedy. In retrospect, earning gains can also be a sign of confidence. Ergo, this isn't cash in and cash out for me, it's continuous returns over a long long period of time. Right now I'm attempting annual returns of 10-30% per month. Not 4058873% per week. I believe in bitcoin. I'm in this for the long run, but in order to truly rally for my belief I need more fiat, and the only way to do that is to increase my supply so I can invest more. By selling now I insure this. I'll hold onto a little of course, but this is my philosophy for now.

My read is that if it doesn't happen in the next week, it won't happen in the next month either. But then, I've never been very good at this game. I reckon that wall will come down too..

When walls were knocked down on the way up to $230, new ones were generally put up right away. No reason to think it won't be the same this time.

If there is something that will make Bitcoin succeed, it is growth of utility - greater quantity and variety of goods and services offered for BTC. If there is something that will make Bitcoin fail, it is the prevalence of users convinced that BTC is a magic box that will turn them into millionaires, and of the con-artists who have followed them here to devour them.

+1 we've got a beautiful bullish triangle formation right now though, so i'm leaning towards 'within a week'
