I so far have 2 GTX 750 ti, and I am consistently mining LBC(Library Credits). So far I am happy with the result of 98 MH/s for both cards. Since the price of LBC is going up, when I started was 0.00002xxx now it is 0.00005xxx I plan to add every month a Nvidia GTX 1060 until I make 4 GTX 1060 3GB and 2GTX 750 ti together which should give as an overall result of(640 4GTX 1060+98 2GTX 750 ti) 738 MH/s. Sounds great as it will give me about 278 USD in total for a month, the first 4 months will pay for each GTX 1060 and then will be pure profit, even if the profits gets lower all the time I don't care as I found a place where to put this PC with USB-PCIE risers and the energy will be lower than it is usually in my country.

Is this a sound investment or should I go with the RX 480 8GB but honestly I prefer Nvidia ?

nVidia is doing well on many algos now , if lbry went bad you can mine zec with nVidia with very good result better than amd , i heard they only mine eth as sh*t  Smiley

Yes I forgot about Zec.  Zec is not that profitable compared to LBC. LBC is the most profitable coin to be mined with NVIDIA cards right now as we speak.

I honestly would prefer to mine eth, as it seems the most safe coin to mine, plus it has gotten really profitable with the price surge, if you're buying amd buy rx 470s 4gb, they'll hit ROI much faster than rx 480 8gb, in some places nvidia cards have much better resell value so if its like that where you're living then sounds like a good choice. Also see how much electricity your gtx 750ti is pulling, it might be unprofitable if you don't have very cheap electricity.

Depends on the specifics of the card, undervolt, overclock, electric cost, etc - for me my 1070 rigs have been more profitable on ETH most of the last two weeks than on anything else, but it's been very close with lots of short term changes.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Meh, if you get 470s, i'd wait for a deal or just take sapphire nitro+ 470 8gb. Mine do 29 on eth, 750 on monero. They do as good as 480s if modded properly.

Sapphire because dual bios :-)

The 4gb versions are ok but i'd go for nitro+ only, this way you're sure to get samsung memory and not crappy elpida or hynix...

Energy cost is not a problem as I have mining in a place where I only pay 0.07 USD/kwatt from 0.16 USD/kwatt which is the main price in my country. Nvidia here has the same resell value as ATI. My 750 ti only pulling 45-60 watt when mining LBRY so not a big problem the energy. The new problem started only today as the difficulty increased with 300 GHS in the LBRY network so my profit is down drastically. Thinking to switch to Nicehash miner when I get my GTX 1060 as their calc is showing 2 USD per day profit for card.

@szafa you can use USB-PCI-E extender/risers like I will do cause I also have no other place in my motherboard. They cost cheap about 5 Euros at ebay.
