Hours gone and transaction not confirmed

Hello Bitcoiners,

I transfered 0.3 Bitcoins to a client and yet it's not confirmed, not even 1 of 3.
It still says 0/3 confirmation.

Could you help me understand WHY?
How long does it take most?

Hey if you used a low fee for your transaction. Then that is why its taking long. And sometimes the blockchain network itself gets congested. Just wait and it`ll push through though

I don't know where to put fee. On blockexplorer it shows that FEE: 0.0011592 BTC

So you say it will surely go through, and no problem will occur?
Because this is so important.

Because this is so important.

The fee is 120.249 satoshi/byte and although this is a low fee compared to the recommended fee it will go through, no doubt about that, only it will take some time. Do not worry in the worst case money will not be lost but turned back to your wallet. I think this transaction will go through without problems, just be patient.

You'd just have to wait, your fee is bellow the network's average so the transaction wasn't prioritized by traders.

It's got one confirmation now.

Your transaction included a fee of 120 sats per byte, but the network has a high backlog of unconfirmed transactions today. At present the bitcoinfees website recommends including a 160 sats per byte fee if you want fast confirmation. That recommendation will change as the network's backlog of unconfirmed transactions goes up or down. Check the bitcoinfees website before you send your next transaction and include whatever fee it recommends for a fast confirmation.

It is normal to take the transactions a long time before it confirms especially if you only put a small amount of fees. For a normal fee transaction to confirm, it takes about 4 hours before 1 confirmation. Then another 30 minutes every confirmation. At least 3-4 confirmations and the bitcoin should be recieved by the client you are transferring.

Don't worry your money will not be lost. It is in the blockchain and just needed to wait for confirmations. Just check from time to time by the tx id to see the progress of the transaction.

That is a low fee and it will take like 12 hours or more.
I think 50k is the average for other transactions.  But that sometimes take an hour also.
But no worries you will receive it. If you are not in a hurry you could wait. If you really need it there are some services here that you will just need to pay up and they will give special treatment to your transaction to make it faster and get the confirmation any minute.
