Phil inspired me to get a MSI 1080 GTX for my daily driver. Just set it up with nicehash miner and getting 406 H/S.

Can I get much more out of it if I read up on how to tweak it??

You can do better than that Smiley

Grab EWBF's miner from here - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9EPp8NdigFianNlcUh0YWFhOVE

Then run it with the following command: miner --server equihash.usa.nicehash.com --pec --user YOURBITCOINADDRESS --pass x --port 3357
You might want to change servers to whatever is closest. Check on nicehash's website for pool addresses.

Then try MSI afterburner to adjust clocks and memory speed if you want to fine tune things Smiley

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Yeah  but France has good health insurance ,nice food, nice wine and in general a  fairly good country to be in.

We Americans get bargains on electronics,  but if you get sick  it is very expensive.

My wife and I spend just about 10k each year on health insurance and health care. We are 60 and 61  our health is decent not a lot wrong with us.

My neighbor  Has a wife and 3 kids.  He spends 28k on health insurance premiums and health care. His kids have some illnesses that cost $$$

Wow 28k on health insurance  Shocked That's the annual salary of a junior engineer ! How many 1080 ti is that ?  It's true frenchies tend to forget how they got it easy ! We always complain but the life is pretty sweet here. As my father says "I've visited many countries and the only place I'm happy is France". I've travelled a bit myself and I get homesick pretty quickly if I don't have my cheese and my wine  Cheesy

I am Italian/Norwegian American

But was in the USN  for  5 years so I have been to a lot of countries.

Italy, France  food and wine = priority.
So they were the two  nicest places for me.
Maybe Mauritius  was in third place. A beautiful Island paradise in the Indian Ocean

Thanks! This takes me from 407 to 470. Will have a play with Afterburner now.

Finally had time to tweak my two Geforce 1080ti FE cards for ZEC mining (EWBF 0.3.3b), the best I've come up with is:

Total rig power draw: 346W, total hash rate: 1272 Sol/s (3.67 Sols/W)

GPU0: 148w @ 641 sols (4.33 Sols/W)
GPU1: 151W @ 631 sols (4.17 Sols/W)

Afterburner: 60% Power, +240 Core Clock, -300 Memory Clock, Fans @ 60%, GPU Temps 56°C and 47°C

Not sure if I can do better ... but run out of 'tweaking' time ... things to do.

But was in the USN  for  5 years so I have been to a lot of countries.

Mine were all Pacific - I have fond memories of Thailand and Hong Kong/Kowloon (sp?), mixed of the Phillipines (Subic Bay, Olongopo, and Subic City) and Japan, don't really remember the stop at Korea, and UNfond memories of the shipwreck that left us unable to make it to Singapore and the I/O planned part of our WestPac tour (I was looking forward to Australia, but NOT to Diego Garcia), instead we limped back TO Subic for patches so we could limp to Japan (Yokosuka) for temp repairs then a few months tooling around the Pacific 'till later back to Japan for a complete bow replacement.

Ranger and the Liberia Fortune are no longer in the Guiness Book for the largest collision at sea, but we were there for a short while (got beat out when 2 of the 600,000 ton class oil tankers collided).

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

  slot 1------     slot 2------      slot 3 -----    slot 4-----   slot 5 ----- slot 6

1080ti ________empty______empty _____1080ti ____empty ____ mini 1080

I believe this will allow full air  for the longer 1080ti

If it doesn't work, try one of the Gigabyte "ITX" 1070 cards in slot 6 - they're a good bit shorter than the Zotac, much less anything else.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125893

I end up with cards at 2-5-7 on my 3-slot motherboards, so same effective spacing as you're using - and no cooling issues for the middle card as it has one fan completely unblocked even on the 2-fan Gigabyte or EVGA cards I have.

If your cousin was a DT on Ranger in the '79-'80 timeframe, I probably knew him by sight if not by name, as we would both have been in OE division.
