I have 2 of these cards, whatever I do, I cannot seem to up the hashate - even with MSI Afterburner.

Stock BIOS
MSI PC Mate
Corsair 750W
16.11.5 Drivers
Windows 10 64 bit
Using Nicehash EthDcrMiner64.exe

Is my only option to mod the BIOS?

Mod it and you get 28 Mh with ease , some getting 31+. Check YouTube plenty of videos

Bios mod it. You won't regret it and its also easy to undo it if you if you change your mind
