尽管之前有一项具有代表性的比特币交易服务遭遇了滑铁卢，但新西兰仍将于本周推出新的服务BitPrime。

这一举措距新西兰比特币交易所bitNZ被迫关闭只过去了六周，后者自2011年起运行，后因银行关闭服务终止。

BitPrime的首席执行官杰弗里·帕尔默在周二发布的新闻中表示：“比特币对大多数人来说还是一个全新的概念，我们希望能让它成为新西兰民众日常使用的投资模式。”

“由于银行利率很低，所以投资者正在寻找能够获得更高回报的资产类别，而比特币恰恰能满足这一要求。”

虽然新西兰市场的交易规模还不大，但消费市场的扩张预示着一个有利的银行业环境。

新西兰邮政携手阿里巴巴

同时，新西兰国内的区块链企业也在迅速崛起。新西兰邮政上周宣布，将与中国的阿里巴巴以及乳业巨头恒天然（Fonterra）合作开发“基于区块链的粮食安全体系”，打消顾客对产品质量和安全的顾虑。

促成这一合作的原因是2013年爆发的恒天然奶粉细菌事件，虽然结果最终证明是假阳性，但中国消费者对食品的安全性疑窦丛生。
