I am building a 6 gpu rig and really wanted to use the g4560 instead of the older pentium/celeron.

I want to use Asus H270 Prime Plus with powered risers.

has anyone used it for minning?

Do all 6 PCI-e slots work simultaneously?

Also

Will a 1000 watt evga PSu 210-GQ-1000-V2 (gold plus) be enough for a 5* 470 rig?

Will a 1200 watt Corsair PSu (platinum) be enough for a 6* 470 rig?

I used 2 different z270's with five cards  (psu could not do 6)

I am pretty sure  five will work for you.

I have read six will work but can not verify that.

I plan to use a 1200 watt psu for 6 470, do you think it will be enough?

Thanks, how about a 1000watt psu evga 210-GQ-1000-V2 for 5* 470 it should be enough too right?

Maybe. A lot depends on clocks what you mine.

I can do four on an Evga 750 p2. But if it is dual mining eth and decred and clock high it is a no go

Agreed with philipma1957, there are big differences depending on what you mine (eth dual mining will need much more power than XMR for instance) and the clocks you set. Als,o if you don't want any trouble, don't take a too small PSU.
Generally speaking, 1000W for 5 GPU or 1200W for 6 GPU should be fine.
Make sure you also take a branded PSU like the EVGA you mentioned.

+1 for what philipma und Cubirez wrote. Always take a bigger one, since you never know what currency you will jump to and what settings you will apply to your cards. EVGA is first choice for sure, dependent where you live you could also take Corsair Gold or Platinum PSU's. I would also suggest to take a Single Rail PSU. Also take care of good qualtiy risers.
