ED TRICE, Liquid Nitrogen Overclocking Inc.

ED TRICE advertises custom cases and fast computers for the website he operates called LIQUID NITROGEN OVERCLOCKING. Recently he has gotten into bitcoin and decided to create custom hardware for bitcoiners, promising fast returns on their hardware investment (80 BTC a day!).  He showcases his designs on his facebook page as well as boasts his personal possessions purchased with money earned from his business. He calls himself the BILL GATES OF PENNSYLVANIA and pays for advertisements that look like articles to be run in papers to garner attention for his business.

The problem?

• None of the designs on his facebook were ED TRICE's, just the designs of an ex-employee who left out of disgust after witnessing embezzlement and fraud by ED TRICE last year
• ED TRICE doesn't know how to design an overclocked computer and his promises of bitcoin returns are most obviously false.
• His sports car was purchased with money embezzled from orders that he instructed his employees not to send out.
• His photos of personal belongings are stolen from random websites and simply used to boost his personal appearance to sucker in marks
• He has a long history in the chess community for scamming people and lost a related $2million dollar lawsuit
• He has screwed over everyone he brings in as a "partner" or "employee" by involving them into the scam and asking them to handle financials and shipping for him so that he has a patsy
• He creates faux personalities online to refute claims against him

ED TRICE labels himself the "STEVE JOBS OF PENNSYLVANIA". He is more like the STEVE JOBS OF FRAUD.

Watch out for this sociopath. He has recently scammed a forum member living in China of $47,000 USD on hardware he failed to deliver or provide evidence of.

It is so sad that someone as great as Trice-a-roni has had such
obsticles cast in his way. His university has no record of him
graduating. The company he claims to work for is lost in the "Marvel"
universe. He has been crushed by a car and divorced by a wife he never
had. He lost Donald Trumps 15 million dollar debit card and then
wonders why George Ross won't return his calls. He can't come up with
the money for a retainer because he thinks folks should work for free.
He travels to Iceland and gets sick when Fischer won't see him. Make
two other trips back to Iceland( and meets Fischer but has no
witinesses and then Fischer dies). His collaboration with Fischer on
"my 61 memorable games" appears to have been ghost written with him by
the imaginary Fischer he met with. The USCF has managed to screw up
his rating, and only his, so badly that a 2277 rating claimed by Trice-
a-roni can't peak above 1430 after five years of play!( The USCF
program must have it in for him!) His Delorian stopped running after
the professor took his flux capacitor and it spends it's life on
blocks at his mommy's house

Wiki page that clearly shows that he's lying. He's too stupid to even
be a good liar.
-- He claims one day to be a British citizen, but then the very next
day (when it's convenient for his argument) hides behind the fact that
he's a U.S. citizen and has rights. Talk about lying so much that YOU
don't even know what the truth is anymore.
-- He claims to have pictures AND video from all of his Gothic chess
events that support the ridiculous attendance numbers that he lied
about, yet he refuses to produce any of these.
-- He claimed that Burt Rutan owned land on Mars and Mr. Rutan
personally denied these claims and has never heard of Trice
-- Makes trip to Iceland with Frank Camaratta, but never meets
Fischer. Supposedly goes to Iceland again by himself (with no
witnesses) and magically meets Fischer with nobody around to verify
this.

Mine are cranking along but it will be a while before I break even and to think all I had to do was pretend I had one and then offer it for sale.

This whole thing makes me think that the only way to make money in bitcoin is either speculation or fraud.  The speculation side will make it little used as an actual currency, so I am afraid it is gonna crap out bigtime one day.

If you are unfamiliar with Bitcoin, you might want to spend a day googling about that new digital currency (completely "bankless") which is now making serious inroads. You might even come across the name Mike Caldwell, a person who minted $82 million worth of Bitcoins (value back in October 2013, when the article in WIRED magazine came out) before being shut down by FinCEN, the big bad enforcement arm of the Department of the Treasury. Well, it turns out minting Bitcoins requires a special licence which Mr. Caldwell did not have.

As a former consultant and regulator for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, I have connections in the Department of the Treasury. I am well versed in what is needed to transition a permit I obtained into a Business License that is fully compliant with every regulation governing minting and distributing coins that are both backed by Digital Wallet entries in the so-called "Block Chain" (the public ledger of every bitcoin transaction, which is also viewable in real time), or "unfunded coins" that do not have any private hash keys, nor digital software wallets, associated with the particular coin in question.

In our business model, we will have both types of coins available for purchase.

I have done a fair amount of research into "what people want to see" in a tangible coin. Having just a single, bland version of a coin did not appeal to many. Coin collectors (numismatists) with whom I spoke often expressed a longing to see certain ancient coins restored to the grandeur of the day they were first minted. Working with a "digital artist" who was a subject matter expert in 3D scanning and rendering, I restored the images on the "heads" side of several different Roman Emperors from the days of Imperial Rome. Complete with their original Latin inscriptions, I must say, they are a thing of beauty. The artist was able to remove every aberration from the surface of the original coin, and repair every imperfection that was transferred to the 3D mesh perspective.

The "tails" side of each coin will showcase a typical bitcoin motif, also identifying the new business entity as the minting operation that produced it. A Bitcoin slogan of sorts is on this side of the coin as well.

Converting those images to a cavity injection mold was a little expensive. I have incurred $12,000 in expenses so far. I am looking for one or more business partners whose total equity contribution will equal this dollar amount so that I would have 50% equity. If one business partner comes on board, then he/she would have 50% equity. If more than one partner elects to participate, the 50% equity that remains would be split among you in direct proportion to your contribution.

The first post is from Philadelphia's craiglist.  Apparently, someone contacted the person and it was Ed Trice.  Then, they posted the warning not to fall for any Bitcoin scams because it was him.  Given Ed's history, this sounds like exactly the kind of thing he would say.
