Tried to make a transfer earlier today and forgot to change the satoshis per byte fee, I should have turned on dynamic but it didn't cross my mind as i was half asleep when i made the transaction. When i open the blockchain VIA electrum all i get is "transaction not found". 0 confirmations as well of course. I would like to note that i am using a slightly older version of electrum as well ( 2.6.3) if that has any impact.

Transaction id is     dc4ff43b23b6045e13f10fcfc299c55d4af788f5aca6aaa733df3a6577903c56
receive address is  1BBo5G2gUzfhtpmd13N1EtH2ue42BxMXU3

Any help would be appreciated, my understanding is that it will automatically return to my wallet in 4 days if it has not been confirmed? Just would like to have an alternate solution if there is one.

It looks like this transaction already confirmed. I definitely recommend you update Electrum to the latest version as 2.6.3 is pretty far outdated and the new version has many bug fixes. Also, definitely enable Dynamic Fees.
