I would say the real value in Gold nowadays - or the base - is in the money it takes to get gold out of the ground - and then there is a bit of speculation. It is the same for bitcoin with electicity - but the real difference - I think - is that for Bitcoin it is much more predictable how these variables change. I mean for gold no one really knows what it takes to get it out of the ground in 5 years from now.

Diversifying your investment to bitcoin and gold is the best decision that an investor will do. But I doubt it that any of them will put you into failure, bitcoin and gold are good when it comes to existence and supply & demand. So while it is still early to invest to bitcoin, go invest now or you might regret not to do get into it. |

Of cpurse it is because of the increasing price of both. Gold was a currency in the past such as bitcoin, but bith are better than fiat because the value is always increase.

Both have very good value and in the long run their price keeps on appreciating. And if you are a wise investor, you don't have to choose only one but instead you will take the time to invest to these two real things. Because it will bring you a nice profit after seeing the value of them pumped like there's no tomorrow.
I agree, both gold and bitcoin are known as very good in terms of store of value. They even increase in time adding more value to your hodings. This is one of the real reason why it is good to hold gold and especially bitcoin. Aside from that, the market saturation level is still low for Bitcoin that can make its value to grow exponentially. Diversifying your money on bitcoin and gold will make you have the abundance in terms of profit. Gold is well known for being a precious mineral/stone for creating jewelries and it's value has been increasing and bitcoin is being used for so many ways which grants you to have a lot of chance to make it's demand higher. |

My reason still hold bitcoin and gold:
Gold: traditional and proven as best investment, all people like and accept gold, can sell anytime, anywhere and anyone.
Bitcoin: The best and profitable investment, for short time can make profit more than 100%, long term can make profit more than 500%
This strategy reminds me of the dice game. You can raise the bids, but at some point you have to lower and lose the minimum to wait to go a series of wins and can earn. Need to keep the gold and periodically to buy and sell bitcoins. Yes, you will not earn 100-500%, but you are guaranteed to get 10-30% and will always remain in the win. Most people don’t use gold as an investment they use gold as a store of value since fiat keeps devaluing, and they fear that a major devaluation may happen in the future, gold offers protection from that since gold has maintained in average its purchasing power for thousands of years and since gold has passed the test of time they choose gold over bitcoin. |

On the other hand, Bitcoin is an extremely risky investment, and no one can predict the future exchange rates. An ideal investment option would be 75% gold, and 25% BTC.

Investing in both is a great choice but I think we should focus on investing more bitcoin than gold although bitcoin investments have certain risks but we can get big profits in just a short time and the profit could be bigger if we keep the bitcoin for a long time. Gold investment is a safe choice in the long run but profit is low, we should invest 70% bitcoin and 30% gold. It will help us to be profitable in the short term and still safe in the long term, the real reason we hold gold and bitcoins just because we want to make a profit and have a better life in the future |
