hello
I have been sending my BTC income over to cryptopay.me for a few months now
been working fine rate along but now suddenly nothing I send seems to ever get confirmed

this is my most recent attempt to send BTC  https://blockchain.info/tx/1ce1b67f2a0054fb86ff067b0726f1d2d6d856fc5a2294f740171c606ddae262
it's not getting any confirms even though I used the "recommend" thingy for setting the fee  http://prntscr.com/ettxx6

and what is a "double Spend" ?
I need not worry about anyone's trust worthiness here as I am sending to myself
just trying to figure that thing out is all

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Do you recognise this two transactions?
https://blockchain.info/tx/5e6fc3fe9a962e849393d85214fe248d3cc99d49983d702ab70f32c1f251c90a
https://blockchain.info/tx/cc564fc485e0a16cb7cc7bf3d470ab3c51beb5814d508ae95d62048d2713db34

The two transactions have the inputs used in your initial transaction from the address 1HGsjeXg9eniyRWiqtU81MgaE5j7NUautT. It is definitely possible that the client glitched but it may be possible that the another person is holding the private key to 1HGsjeXg9eniyRWiqtU81MgaE5j7NUautT and double spent it.

1ce1b67f2a0054fb86ff067b0726f1d2d6d856fc5a2294f740171c606ddae262 will never confirm and it will just be dropped from the network.

3 earlier sends failed
about 6 months back someone in this forum told me how to edit the BTC core so it would clean out failed sends and return the $ to my account
I saved a second copy of the core with these edits so I could easily do this if needed
today I ran that copy and after taking a couple hours to load the data when it looked nearly finished it crashed
thinking I only needed it to clean out the failed send's I ran the normal copy again and the $ had been returned to my account
so I sent a small payment to a guy I am trying to refund $17 to
and then sent the rest to my account at cryptopay.me
when I posted this the 2 sends where just marked un confirmed
not it looks like this  http://prntscr.com/etuc0x
the top 3 have 2 confirms each
im not sure what is going on but it appears the funds are finally getting moved

The bottom two transactions will never confirm and it should, IIRC be removed by the client automatically.

By removing the transaction that weren't confirmed, the client believed that the coins have never been used in a transaction. The client will hence use those inputs in a transaction that you create. Since they were confirmed, your earlier unconfirmed transactions will never confirm.

If you're not the one who made those double spend then as what first reply said its possible that there's someone who has the private key of those address you used so.

Well but anyway that's good to hear that your problem is solved already and locking the thread is much better.
