about the rate, they pay me around 150 satoshi per view. i don't think it is too low
Mellowads have a good rate for url shortener, I had added short links on three of my faucets withdrawal buttons, rate is good, but there is a small problem, pop up ads, apart from getting impressions on their ads, mellow monetizes using their pop ads network so it is a bit too much for a general faucet user.
One more main thing, your short URL placement is quite wrong, if a new user visits your faucet and is welcomed with a mellow shortener, that user would leave, "YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE SHORT LINK BEFORE ACCESS FAUCET". Do not place URL shortener on the landing page (main faucet page). Tweak it and add it to claim button or something like that. Users would not care too much about it as far as the faucet is paying.
