However, you missed a very important detail. Predators don't grow animals then to eat them. There are many cases when predators feed calves their victims and don't eat them. It sounds funny, but animals are much more humane than humans.

I think we should agree to disagree on that one. If we dive into it we'll be opening a whole new subject and a very complicated one at that, cause yes these animals are grown by humans to be slaughtered and eaten, but they also only exist on this world because of humans. It's a weird topic whether it's better to have been born only to be killed or to have never been born at all. I do agree however that humans are capable of unimaginable atrocities which you won't see in the animal kingdom but we're also capable of the most selfless acts of love and loyalty too. just like OP said that actually this is teachings of certain religious heritage that they consider the cow as holly animal and for those who kill them the people will believe it's just like killing human however in India there is an extreme actions that they had drink cow urine because they believe Will bring good luck for them

Being a Hindu, I have to disagree with you on this. Pork is forbidden in Islam, because they regard pig as unclean. The Muslims hate pig. On the other hand, the Hindus revere cow as a holy animal. That is why the refrain from killing it. Both these aspects are diagonally opposite to each other.

For me this is absolutely insane. Im so sorry for my term but its like putting human level as a cow is so unjust. Its like your treating others as a cow and treating cow as a human being. Im not sure what behind this but I just want to share the real thing here. Most people might think that it is wrong given the fact that they are believing in something but if its against the human race you need to think it a thousand times. Well as much as it is odd to us, from other parts of world, maybe some our customs are odd to them. We can not judge or tell it is wrong or right, it is their culture and people and they should decide what to do, and how to do it. And as far as tourists are concerned, and fear if they will be killed, one advice... if  you go to India do not eat any cow meat . I think we can all limit our food for few days .

If you go to travel to India, you need to know exactly where I can go to the states and eat beef, otherwise you can really stay without a head. Who knows who you will be talking to and who will be friends next door. Although I also think that killing or because someone is eating beef is savagery.
