If that is actually the case of anybody who kills a cow should be killed then nobody would exist in the world of today. Several religious organizations will eventually turn us to vegetarians because the Muslims will tell us not to eat pork, this one now saying we should eat cow maybe we will start eating elephants I am sure one group will still come out to say we shouldn't do that eat that one too.

In Africa and South-east Asia, they used to hunt elephants and then eat them. But the practise has stopped, thanks to the colonialists banning elephant meat. The westerners have banned several types of meat, and they still complain when they can't get beef in North India.

A lot of religions around the world worship nature and the animals. For example, the Yazidis worship peacocks, and the Buddhists worship tigers. Cows are worshiped not just by the Hindus, but also by the Zoroastrians. In the ancient Greek and Egyptian religion also, cow was considered as a holy animal.

I dont understand this kind of logic if it's a sin to kill a cow then why do they kill pigs, chicken and fish? If it's a sin to kill one animal then why do they other types of animal? This is nothing but Hypocrisy saving only one animal but killing others is nothing but self righteousness. Like in the animal kingdom they hunt and eat to survive. We are most likely the same because we are top of the food chain and we are also predators like lion and wolves, we eat to gain nutrients from it and it also helps bulk our body and build muscles. The lack of respect for the traditions resulted in these tragic events. It was known that beef is a forbidden item in many of the North Indian states. Then why these people (Muslims and Christians) want to consume it? If they want to consume beef, then why can't they travel to Andhra Pradesh or Maharashtra?

I agree with you.  It is about respecting the culture and traditions of one place, tribes, or certain religion.  If we are Hindu and it forbids for us to eat beef, then why don't change your religion so you could freely eat it.  But I am sure that these Hindus knows these tradition of them.  Besides, people are hungry and will do anything just to survive even eating a poisonous puffer fish.  It is really important to respect the culture you are in.

India is a very contradictory country. Among the population of India is really a common respect for the cows, but this does not prevent India to take fifth place in the world for beef production. These are the miracles there are in this country.

I didnt know they rank 5th in beef production. These has something to do with their religion. I am very respectful of people's religious belief and i know they have  their personal reason for sparing and defending cows so much. But am just wondering. If cows are more precious than human beings, i wonder what will happen if they continue on killing one another in defense for cows. And to think that India is one of the poorest countries in the world. If they run out of food, better starve to death than killing cows for food. If it continues to be like that statistic for cows will be higher than that of human beings.

In India, a few months back there was an incident in which a Christian teacher was beaten up by the Muslims, for serving pork in a school. These are the same Muslims, who want to serve beef in India. See the hypocrisy.

I respect the religion of Hindus, but their idea or concept that we could not kill cows is just a little but delusional. Cows are animals just like other animals. I am not saying that their culture of not killing cows are immoral it's just that the immoral part is the consequence, people should not be killed just because of a "cow", even if it is a sacred being. My opinion is for all religions, if the religion has some kind of law then it must not have a capital punishment, even if it means having to disrespect the religion. I definitely respect all the traditions and beliefs which exist on the surface of earth but I cannot stand killing people for somebody's religious belief. Someone can believe that cows are sacred, on the other hand, other people find it ridiculous. In both situation, people must respect each other's religion and beliefs for the sake of humanity.

Well, you can buy and eat beef freely in north-eastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura. If you try to stop them from killing and eating beef, you might get killed. As for me I don't consider cow as sacred. To me it is just another animal. If someone wants to eat beef, fine, no problem. Oh by the way, if the need arise, I will save a man, not a cow.
