I collect fountain pens, and I have a penchant for Pelikan and Sheaffer ones--but I do have a couple of Parkers. That Sheaffer Targa is beautiful, and I've owned them in the past. They write wonderfully. I'm at work and don't have pictures, but I own a Parker Sonnet with a M italic nib, but it leaks for some reason. Not sure I'm interested in selling anything, but thought I'd chime in here as it's one of my passions.
OP, do you like pens or are you just in the market for one? I could talk about them all day.
That is really cool, thanks for sharing and I'm thinking about picking up the Sheaffer Targa.
I used to have a nice collection when I was younger and I have no idea where they went, haven't seen them for ~15 years. There are a few that remain but most of my prized pieces must have been sold or traded away so I'm in the market to pick up some.
I realize you're in the market for older models, but if you don't know about The Fountain Pen Hospital in NY, NY, check them out. They have everything a stylophile could ever want, including vintage pens--and not just fountain pens, either. They have all sorts of pens, and their prices aren't too bad either.
That Targa there is damn beautiful, and again I highly recommend it. It's a great shape and they're smooth. I'm not a big fan of inlaid nibs, either, so that says something. What's your thing, rollerballs, ballpoints, or fountain pens?
Edit: I won't cock up your thread any further; it's just nice to see someone interested in pens on this forum.
