should i start my own bitcoin forum?

i'm thinking of starting my own bitcoin forum,  this one seems outdated and i want to make a better bitcoin forum than this one,

will everyone join my forum?    any advice?

theres not many bitcoin forums out there,  

i also thought about starting a bitcoin blog, but i'm not much of a writer, 

maybe a bitcoin site about news, but its like a blog and i don't enjoy writing,

so, a forum is the only thing i thought would be fun,



anyone support my idea?   give me ideas

This is the oldest and trusted forum when it comes to collecting information related to bitcoin and earning some bitcoins and its still the most popular place and you can treat it as an outdated forum as there are many other forums available at a moment but people prefer to spend time only on this forum.

i am a member of 3 other bitcoin forums out there and they tell me this forum is bad because they censor stuff here,  

personally i haven't had any problem with censoring here, or at any of the other bitcoin forums out there


but it's good to join other forums to see what their opinions are

I don't think your idea will bloom. This forum was established as soon as Bitcoin was. And I don't see it outdated since there are persons who are maintaining this forum. Besides, this is the well known forum to Bitcoiners and it has already build its name in terms of Bitcoin and Altcoin advertising, marketplace and etc.

This forum is trusted because it was founded by Satoshi, the creator of Bitcoin, and he posted here regularly for over a year.  This is where the Bitcoin community formed, basically.  All other forums can offer is a nicer design.

There isn't any censorship here, the mods are extremely lenient and you can even start self-moderated topics which you manage yourself.  You can't have a completely open forum, but all discussion is free, it's just doing extremely malicious or stupid things which aren't allowed.

I don't know your definition of outdated,because this is where I get first hand information about bitcoin and new altcoin,there are a lot of crypto currency related forum,but they have a hard time getting active members,because some of them are just clone of bitcointalk..
And I don't know what will make your forum different and stand out .

you can try to make a better forum but what makes it is the users.  how will you get enough users? without critical mass it will never work.

You can always start your own forum but before that you need to do a good marketing to attract people towards your forum as to be successful forum you also need to have enough traffic and if its not done then your forum will not survive longer.

Just go for it ! You won't know if you just keep dreaming and thinking about it. We can always use another bitcoin forum. There a few others and they really good too. Maybe yours can become like them or maybe better even ? Good luck.

I don't think this forum is outdated but may be an old forum for bitcoin discussions. You will get all information about the bitcoins and you can find the best advice from experienced bitcoin users on this forum. I don't think any other forum can attract so much traffic than this forum. I advice better think of something else and good luck to you.

Several such forum came into existence as a clone of bitcointalk, but none gained popularity same as ours in terms of users base and the service access. Also it serves as a good knowledge source for entire digital currency community and others who agonize to learn.

I thinkt if you start another bitcoin forum you just waste your time, you just waste your effort. You can't copy this forum, your forum can't be bitcointalk forum. This forum is trusted, you can't get many members here if you're site is the same. But if you're site is another way of earning. I think there's a chance that you can get many members.

Because it is backed up by the inventor of bitcoin, Satoshi. And don't forget other contributors and developers of bitcoin are also here in forum. If you don't have problem with censoring stuff then why are you judging that it's a bad thing about the forum. Well we do have our freedom, but many will still choose to stay and don't intend to create his/our own forum. This forum has been built with a strong foundation.

OP, outdated or not, this forum will always be no.1 in the cryptocurrency world. It has everything you can ever look for in a forum like drama, the trolls, all the good information and the misinformation.

There is another forum owned by Roger Ver but it is not attracting many users. Even the Bitcoin Unlimited supporters likes it better here.

How can you say it is outdated?In what aspect or topic? I cant see any outdated topics here when it comes to bitcoin topics or any updates etc I think this forum is intended for bitcoin purposes topics and some altcoins,your idea is good there are many bitcoin forum out there but not as huge as btctalk.org, this is the most trusted and reputed bitcoin forum I know.

Yes I agree with you that this forum is always updating for any news
or discussion of the Bitcoin/altcoin. In my opinion this forum had the attraction
such as the presence of signature campaigns and any other bounties.
This has made the people interested in this forum.

You are not the first to have this idea, but can you deliver on your promise, there are alot of factors that makes BCT successful, Satoshi (Founder) is one of the reasons. Another thing is the userbase, there is no need of creating something people will not use.

The more forums bitcoin has the more better it is to bitcoin and the community. If there are multiple forums then we can spread the news about bitcoins much faster . But if you want your forum to have a good standing then you must also have a signature campaign in your forum which has better pay out than this forum. But I guess you will have a hard time competing with this site since for me it is the best forum there is online.

I think if you create a new bitcoin forum that will not bloom because this forum has lots of bitcoin users and members of it the forum life is depends on the members of it so I think if you will create it will not bloom because this forum is so active and many opportunities. You can try but I think that will not work.

The only thing that you will lose if you dont try your idea is your chance to be part of the booming Bitcoin industry. Regardless if you fail or succeed whats important is you shared you have in mind. Taking the first step is the hardest in every aspect. If your Bitcoin forum project failed its fine, no one will ridicule you as long as you didn't do harm to anyone.
