Hello everybody,
I plan to intensify my btc and altcoin trading in future. I would like to hear some opinions and feedback (yes, i know it's tricky here, as some people have the tendency to push their own sh!tcoins, but hey, in my country there is a saying: "only who talks can receive advice!") on my plans.

So to begin with:
I would like to buy 30-40BTC. "Unfortunately" as we are currently topping 1200$+, I will wait. Maybe it breaks resistance, but after enough study, I dare to say it will fall again. Some say 800, some say 850, I guess I would like to buy in at around 900 or 950. And ultimately going to 2000+ until the on of the year too.

Once I have the BTC, I am thinking about splitting mt portfolio into 3 main pillars:
- I. 10BTC Longterm
- II. 10BTC Longterm
- III. 10BTC Shortterm

I. Pillar I would like to go into ETH and keep until end of this year. Maybe some occasional shorting, but I would like to stay long on that pillar. Potentially the timing will be bad, as the dip in BTC will potentially not come until mid of this month when the "big ETH news" is about to spread. Anyways, I could imagine that it'll be a re-heat of the Brock Pierce fond. If my plan works, I would like to buy in at around 0.037 but as I said I guess that won't be possible. So I might be forced to buy in on much higher price. Even if I buy in at 0.05 or 0.06 I believe there will still be enough room during 2017 to sell at 0.1 to 0.15.

II. Pillar I would like to go into LTC. I guess from the "big 3" (if I dare to call LTC that), it has the most growth potential among the "solid" altcoins. Not too sure again when I will be able to buy in, but if I can get them at around 0.01, I assume LTC can hit 0.1 during 2017.

III. Pillar I would like to spread on 3 to 8 coins. Traditional speculation I guess. I am a lurker on this forum a while and on twitter even longer, so I know it will be quite naive to ask for some good suggestions on the spot, considering I don't know when I will own the BTC and the pace of the altcoin market. Anyways, I would still like to ask what some of you think would be a good short/midterm coin for the rest of the year. While usually the most unexpected coins get a push (well, that's their game isn't it) I reckon there are some solid coins to look out for in the near future. Any recommendations about some promising growth coins which have solid tech and anonymity features, which I estimate to be key for sustainable growth in 2017?

Hope to hear some feedback from you guys and to be able to have some discussions here as well (which according to other threads sometimes proves to be difficult!). ; )

Take care & play safe,

I would take:
btc, eth, dash, xmr, nxt/ardror, xrp, xem and game as long term. In mid/short have no idea, because i'm long term investor for the most part.

Hi Anks!

KMD seems indeed to be a good coin (speculative wise) it popped up quite often during my research.

I think it has a "doubling boost" within March/April. While it is currently going down a bit from the boost, there might be another on the horizon. Is there any word on Polo listing? At the moment, at least on Bittrex the traffic is quite low. But ever since BTC price increased, overall traffic is quite low there anyways.

i don't know about komodo, but it's just a dagger coin with nothing really new that is not on ETH already instead, can i suggest HLM? it's a new coin that will be released soon and it's based on dash but with a new gpu algorithm, if you have spreadcoin the swap will be 1:1 with Helium(HLM), decred also was not mentioned here, i think it's a good coin with a good roadmap

May i ask what is the big news coming out of ETH and if you are aware of that please do convey so that i would think about investing in it as i do not want to miss any rally,LTC is always a sleeping giant for a very long time and with the segwit news and with the rallies of other alt coins i am seeing some movement in LTC and i hope it will have a good rally in the future.

The last few weeks, some people in Polo chat kept on referring to news around 14th April. I dont know what.

Hey, friend!

If you are interested in Syscoin, I would highly recommend BitBay instead as an investment at their current prices. They are both great coins, but Bay will get you a higher ROI. Bay is arguably the better coin with higher upside and is currently a lot cheaper. Syscoin $15.3 mil marketcap vs Bitbay $4.8 mil marketcap. BitBay is also not on Polo yet and once it is, it will get a big boost. At the very least, if you are going to buy Sys, you should also buy Bay. Bay is extremely undervalued. Give a little personal research into Bay. They are both $50 mil marketcap worthy coins, imo

I really hope you bought some BAY after my post. It has already made over 100% since then. The crazy thing is, is that this is just the beginning. It is a dead minimum $50mil market cap coin. I personally, think it should be worth $100mil or more

Also, it is not even listed on Poloniex yet, which I think it will be very soon...

I don't think BTC will ever go back to 800$, unless there will be some regulatory issues/bans by some government.

Totally agree with you. To got back $800 like impossible. I aspect lowest price around $1100 this year. Maybe by Q4 can see the faster increment. No sure, but everything can happen in trading.  Wink

I think it very-very good idea for OP to split the investment. Maybe one of them will hit jackpot. Good Luck to you.
