Last week I ran a little chart based on their history page and it seems they were down around 20Bitcoins overall from April to December 2nd.

Not very encouraging, at least in the mid term.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

only problem I see with your system is that there may be a delay in receiving the bitcoins and by that time, the dynamics of the market have changed from the moment the users decides to bet, and that is an annoyance for me personally.

Hello,
Yes there is.
I dont see any way to go around it. Maybe there is, but there is no way to know the exact time you decide to bet, except with when the bets was propagated on the network.

Edit: Actually since we are using blockchain.info as "trustee" to estimate the betting time, if you bet FROM a blockchain.info wallet the bet is actually real time, ie there is no delay between the time you send and the time the timestamp is registered on blockchain.info.
Maybe we whould advertise bets from blockchain.info wallets as being real time !!!

Due to a bug at mtgox the trading looped for hours and the mtgox trading data does not exist. As a consequence, we will refund all options that were opened during this timeframe.
Thanks all for your support !

I really enjoy betting on oracle, excellent idea. Currently at 70% wins on 15 minute bets while being a total amateur with tradingview  Embarrassed

Haha thats correct sir we are down around 20 bitcoins Cheesy Still struggling to make a profit the users are skilled ;o

Ideally the winning players should make money from the loosers, minus a small edge

Don't worry we are well funded and in bitcoin for the long run !

Thanks you guys for using our service !

Interesting concept. I haven't used the site, since the odds are far from fair for an honest participant. Payouts and winrate continue to be abnormally high. In the short term the fair factor would be 2.0 x, not 1.3x. So its unlikely that the winners are honest (dishonest profits have to be subtract from earnings of honest participants). I'm quite surprised that they can do this, as influencing market prices takes a lot of capital.

So what are the plans for BTCoracle now that Gox has halted trading?

They will most likely simply change exchanges, tho I am quite pissed on how the decided to end options. rather then just a refund they are just using the last price as the last price for all options

I used the site like a month or so ago and it worked fine for me.  I had always wanted to try it out and I had fun even though I lost.

Yeah. they should either suspend the service or switch to another major exchange like bitfinex.

I think it will be refunded. I am not sure though. They usually either resume it if bitstamp resumes service beofre the bet expiry or refund the amount.

I got this response from support Smiley

Quote
Hello Erre,

This is an unusuall situation for everybody but we will act this time the same as when MtGox went down: use the last trading price available as a reference.

Expired options will be settled today and running options will be dealt with once they expire.

Best regards,

Adrien
