Hey guys,
I run a litecoin pool at litebonk.com. I wanted to let you know that I've also setup a feathercoin pool if anybody wants to mine those while the difficulty is still low. I should have stratum support running there later today.
fcpool.com
Thanks,
BigVern

I keep getting "access denied" errors when using the Stratum server, I suppose it's not fully set up. With http everything works fine!

Sorry man, but I can't walk you through setting up cgminer. I'm sure there are a lot of tutorials in this forum. You can get the latest binary here: http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/Here are binaries with CPU support, apparently: https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/tree/master/3.0.0I don't use Windows though, so I can't say any more about the files. If you use Linux, you should compile it yourself, make sure to read the README and README_SCRYPT in this case. You can then run cgminer like this: cgminer --scrypt -o http://fcpool.com:8377 -u worker_name.1 -p x --verbose --auto-fan --auto-gpu --intensity 14 Before running cgminer, you have to set two environment variables: This is how you would do it with Linux: export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1 In Windows, you can use System Settings: http://www.itechtalk.com/thread3595.htmlHope this helps, if you have specific questions open a separate thread, I'm sure someone will be able to help you out. This stuff is overwhelming and I still only understand maybe 5%, but in the end I managed to get it running, you will as well!

Now are those environmental variables for system settings or user? I still seem to be getting 28kh/s on the server but cgminer tells me about 95 khs. What do you think?

YAY! The first block was found! @gladiatorcoin Now are those environmental variables for system settings or user?
I still seem to be getting 28kh/s on the server but cgminer tells me about 95 khs.
What do you think?
What cgminer tells you is more important. The rate on the server will go up, it's probably lower in the beginning because it's averaged. 95kh/s sounds good! Setting the environment variables for the user is enough.

Radeon 4850
You're getting 7khs on your GPU? I just started mining Feathercoin yesterday, CPU only with the miner running on a Windows 7 PC in the other room at below normal priority (it's always on anyway, might as well use those cpu cycles for something) and a local feathercoind and p2pool instance on my Ubuntu box. That's getting me 4-5khs without touching the GPU (both PCs have older GPUs that apparently aren't compatible with any miners I've found). I have a surplus Dell PowerEdge server here with a small hard drive and it has a Radeon for some reason (don't remember the specs off the top of my head, but why such a nice GPU for a headless server?).. thinking about setting it up as a dedicated miner too.. even have a small rack to mount it in with my old Cisco routers.

@becher Thanks I guess my PC just had to "warm up" @steven becher and paul (fcpool admin) helped me resolve the issue so the server is reading 68 khs and higher. Yeah why not have an extra miner on the side? Hopefully you mine at a good rate
