Hi, fellow Feathercoin community!

For now we are using Google Docs sheet to trade FC/LTC. My proposal is to move trades into Ripple. One of functions of ripple is to allow the exchange of different currencies. All we need is gateway of FC. And a little amount of XRP (400 as i know) to each of us. Trades on pairs BTC/LTC, LTC/TRC, BTC/TRC currently in operation on interior market of Ripple. For those who have not seen trading in Ripple, they will look like this:

In my opinion Ripple is just greate service.
Couple of words about gateway. I worked with this guy, who become manual LTC gateway https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=155124.0 As we can see system is pretty simple. We can use same solutionto make FC gateway. But here can be some problems, user, who will become gateway must provide highly secured storage for all of FC which will pass thru him. It's not easy, i think. For example all what can i do - it's store coins on separate encrypted flash drive, and use it under liveCD linux based OS. That's all  Undecided
But, i have even better proposal. Here is another fresh gateway which working just great, i tested it on their Giveaway. I want to ask owners of that gateway to add FC to their list of currencies. If they will agree - problem solved.

I started poll here. Vote please!

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Ripple sounds useful, but I don't have it, and it gets pretty negative reactions here. I think the best option is to try and convince an exchange to list FC.

I don't mind short term, if Ripple is easy to use and does not cost more time and money than a regular exchange would.

I am curious, why do you think that Ripple is a bad idea?
I don't say that I like it very much myself, I have mixed feeling about it.
Any particular reason for disliking Ripple?

No reason, except that posts "Premined! Beware!", despite the fact that Ripple is not cryptocurrency, but you must buy 300 XRP (this is CC) ~ 1.5 $ to use Ripple. I think it's just a misunderstanding of what actually is the ripple.

It is not open source and is centrally controlled.

Necroposting, but.. We talked about service provided by Ripple, not about coin (XRP). Or you will say that Mt.Gox and BTC-e also scam, because they are centrally controlled and not open source?
