edit: cannot provide at $0.01... must be ~$0.02What? What did he say? Yes, I said it. I will sell you as much electricity as you can consume at ~$0.02 per KWh. We are planning to build a climate controlled storage mini-storage building in Denver, Colorado. This first phase is a 21,000 sq foot building with 300 individual units which will should be completed by September 1, 2013. This is many months from now so you need to recognize that difficulty is going to triple before the first unit is available. (check my signature). Let me know if this is something you might be interested by posting below. Let me know how many sq ft and watts you need. The building is designed to support more than 1/2 million watts. We are even debating selling the individual units as condominiums. Sign up by posting below, or PM me your email & phone number.

No, I'm sure you could get a local gardener (or bitcoin technician) to look in on your marijuana (or miners). But asking someone to ship the product to you afterword is illegal. You cannot take marijuana outside the state lines, by federal and neighboring state laws.
But we in Denver welcome marijuana users. Next January anyone who is 21 can come to Colorado and buy and smoke marijuana. And we are encouraging "pot tourism". Denver will be the next new Amsterdam. You can grow (or buy) 6 plants the day you arrive and up to 1 ounce of dried herb. Visitors Welcome.

I'm sure many people want to know so I'll put it here.
Colorado is the ONLY place in the world where you can grow and sell marijuana FOR PROFIT. All other "medical marijuana friendly" states require cafe/coffee shop/sellers (dispensaries) to operate as NON-PROFIT companies.
Last November (2012) in Colorado we voted to regulate RECREATIONAL marijuana like alcohol and those laws are being written right now. Next January (2014) ANYONE who is 21 can come to Colorado and buy up to 1 ounce (28 grams) from a retail store (dispensary).
UNFORTUNATELY in order to OWN a store you will need to be a state resident of Colorado for TWO YEARS PRIOR to holding a license. If you really want to do this I'm happy to hold your license as you manage the store while we await your two year residency. But you do not need any license to hold or smoke or grow marijuana. You only need a license to own a retail distributor (dispensary).

No sir. The building you see an image of, while it is real and does exist, is not mine. The building in the images is a storage facility, it does NOT have necessary power upgrades or cooling capacity. We are working with the same builder to complete the construction of a new building by September.

In that case, I might be interested in September. Definitely interested now.

The least you could do is show the courtesy to the Bitcoin community of marketing these for mining... what you allow is a different matter than what you promote. Please don't add to Bitcoin's negative public perception which is, mostly, caused by drugs.
EDIT: FYI Marajuana is legal only under Colorado state law, not federal law. You can still be prosecuted under federal law. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with it but it is true.

Miners, Computer Programmers and Weed Smokers are all the same community.
Not true, I am a miner and former programmer and have never smoked weed (or anything for that matter). I support the right to decide for yourself, but the promotion of illegal activities does not help Bitcoin's image.

I'm promoting nothing illegal. Marijuana and bitcoin farming are PERFECTLY legal inside Colorado. Our constitution allows us to posess, grow and use marijuana for recreational purposes. I don't care much what they think back east as it doesn't effect us. We are a home rule state and the Fed is smart enough to stay away. Besides, marijuana is a harmless substance which has been prohibited by a man named Harry Anslinger who was a racists and ran the first 'bureau of prohibition' prior to the invention of the DEA. In the history of man there has NEVER been an overdose caused by marijuana, in any mammal. Look it up!

Anyway, I'm not trying to discourage your project, other than what your marketing it for, this is great and I wish you luck! coming from someone with paintball ( playing war!) as avatar... Really? Paintball is a healthy sport with a generally friendly community characterized (mostly) by good sportsmanship. It has a VERY low injury rate when played according to common-sense safety rules (lower than most popular sports). marijuana is a harmless substance It does however cause short term stupidity. Which can be a problem in a public setting, driving, or... playing paintball. Like I said, just FYI, I'm in favor of individual liberty so even though I don't like marijuana I'm in favor of people deciding for themselves.

Mining I 100% support, and this is PERFECT for that! I'm not sure why it's secondary here though.

Makes sense I guess. Not committing, but I am casually considering. I had an ASIC order with BFL but recently canceled it, I'll certainly consider if I place a new order. My paintball business is primary right now though because (especially with the difficulty increase) it will likely be more profitable.

Industrial rates in Denver are half a penny if you consume 25,000 watts at all times. The electric company burns alot of coal.

I'd want more than 2000 watts in that room for my miners. Make it 14.4kW and you're talking.
Are there provisions for heat exhaust and fresh air intake?
Is there fire protection? Insurance? Good internets? Physical security?

yea, the building will meet code. fire suppression is required but that means sprinklers. could do 12kw, not a problem. building will have typical commercial building insurance. renters can get renters insurance I'm sure. building is designed to handle marijuana grows so the heat and air movement problem is largely the same. the building would have a chiller and the heat from all the occupants would be used to make steam to run the chiller compressor.

I'd be interested in using such a facility potentially year-round if the power costs are as low as you are indicating. Let me know when you get something up and running.
