Other

- A UFC Bantamweight Championship bout between current champion Cody Garbrandt and former champion T.J. Dillashaw was expected to take place at this event, possibly as the headliner. However, on May 23, Garbrandt withdraw due to a back injury and the bout was scrapped.

- A welterweight bout between former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler and former UFC Lightweight Championship challenger Donald Cerrone was originally booked for UFC 205. However, Lawler pulled out to take a little more time after losing his title via knockout at UFC 201. The fight was rescheduled to take place at this event. Reports began to circulate on June 28 that Cerrone had sustained a minor injury and that the pairing would be left intact, but expected to shift to UFC 214 three weeks later. UFC President Dana White confirmed later that Cerrone in fact had a staph infection and a pulled groin, and while the plan is to keep the bout, it won't happen at UFC 214.

- Alan Jouban was expected to face Brian Camozzi at the event. However on June 6, it was announced that Jouban pulled out due to a broken foot. Jouban was replaced by The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia welterweight winner Chad Laprise on June 8.

- With so many injuries to the card, the UFC brought in 4 fighters who will make their UFC debut against each other on 8 days notice: Cody Stamann, Terrion Ware, Trevin Giles, and James Bochnovic.

This will be a tough one to call, a knockout artist against to a semi. It is good to see Georges St Pierre back in the cage and i am sure he thinks that Michael Bisping is an easy fight to make a return and i am certain that GSP wont defend the belt even if he wins the belt because i really do not know how he will be facing Yoel Romero who is really a giant in the division and it is difficult to fight him,Bisping is really ducking Romero and this match is really stalling the division .

It is going to be an interesting fight because of the history between the two,Garbdandth has the power advantage here but TJ Dillashaw is elusive but having faced Dominick Cruz Garbrandt will have the solution for TJ's game plan. Cody Garbrandt facing Might Mouse Johnson will be the ultimate dream match as i have not seen anyone causing any problems for Johnson in his division and the lower division needs attractive fights.

I think it's more of a 'McGregor Effect' at play here.  Both the UFC and the fighters now realize that they need to make the fights more interesting by organizing the match ups the people want to see AND turn it into a no holds barred trash talking match before even the real fight begins.  It's what sells.  But so far I haven't seen anybody do it better than king McGregor himself.  I hope he comes back soon.

It is true that Mcgregor has changed the fight industry and now everyone is vocal in the UFC and everyone wants super fights and with WME purchasing UFC it has turned into a spectacle rather than a sporting event as the most deserving fighters are not getting their title shot while some are getting pushed more than others but they are making a lot of money .Mcgregor is fighting Mayweather and if Mayweather delays the fight he might return to have a fight before going back to boxing.

Not necessarily.  A money fight doesn't have to be a championship fight.  Having two big names in the sport, that has enough drawing power and the ability to make huge money in tickets and PPV subscriptions is exactly what a money fight is.  Sometimes it's even viewed like a circus show.

Michael Bisping only got lucky versus Luke Rockhold when he won the title. The fight before that versus Anderson was close and some say that Anderson won that fight. Then the fight after was versus Dan Henderson, another fight that made Michael look bad.

Bisping may have come back from his injuries too soon when he fought Tim Kennedy.

Bisping hasn't fought a top wrestler in a long time which makes it hard to say how well he'll do against GSP.

GSP didn't do the best against Johny Hendricks in his last fight, either.

@bbc.reporter Michael Bisping fought a good fight against Luke Rockhold and he has done his home work when he was facing him,because Luke Rockhold had a tendency to drop in hands with every combination and Bisping knew exactly that weakness and won the match,so that is not just a lucky punch,but the fight against Anderson it was really close and when ever Bisping fights in the UK the judges always favor him,the fight between Thales Leites is one example.
