I like watching the open workouts. Its interesting to see what some of their routines are, what combos they use when hitting pads, what subs they work on the ground, what their punching/kicking technique looks like and assorted details which usually don't factor into a fight much but could show some of what they work on in training.

I am really impressed with Yoel Romero ,he looks shredded in his work out routine and my god he is a physical freak,his athletic ability is impressive for a 40 years old who weighs over 200 pounds. Just listened to a podcast from Chael Sonnen where he describes about Romero's wrestling career and how he would give everyone a chance in all of his fights before going for the finish and that is what he is displaying in his MMA career,he looks like loosing the fight and all of a sudden he switch gears and finish the fight.
Robert Whittaker has a background in karate and he is the superior striker and i am sure he will get his chances to finish the fight and Romero will display his wrestling credentials in this crucial fight and i am going for Romero to win the fight.

I like watching the open workouts. Changed my mind on Whitaker.  Romero is a beast!  I wonder why Whitaker opened at 1.80.  That seems a tad much considering he's against such a fine athlete/olympic level wrestler.

People are wondering why they have fights on friday when they usually have them on Saturday.

It will be interesting because by the time Sunday rolls around everybody will be super tired from the staying up so late and the late night drinking from the night before two nights in a row.

I'm not 100% certain, I think a lot of "The Ultimate Fighter" finale's are scheduled on fridays. Can't claim to know the reasoning behind that.

Bellator schedules some of their events for fridays and the UFC schedules their shows for saturdays. Maybe to avoid conflicts or competing for the same viewer demographic in TV ratings.

The UFC being the larger organization, they probably get the best days on the schedule.

they have done this a few times already and they have fights on wednesdays and sundays too i guess u just started watching ufc?

Their first met on Nunes vs Shevchenko 1 is really close match imo and i want Shevchenko win this 2nd time their met because i hate nunes and she is so cocky af. I think Shevchenko has a good chance to win too and she has a damn good odds though, worth to try imo.

Nunes is on an unstoppable streak. I think she is the best ever right now, but you cant discount Schevchenko. She has an amazing Muay Thai record and she has also defeated Holm, but I think the overall better fighter is Nunes. She has an amazing physique and strength, almost looks like a man to be honest, it's a pretty scary sight.

But the great UFC event is the next 214 one. We got Cyborg, Northcut, Woodley too beside the main event. A great night for fights and gambles.
