Even without blockchain technology we are already a walking bank. The banking system has already made online websites and applications that enables us to send money to bank accounts using the apps. But it was not really popular compared to blockchain. With blockchain those sending services by the banking systems will be much better compared to their previous versions. Aside from that the power of cryptocurrency using blockchain technology will also help us making our transactions much accessible and much faster.

Right now also everybody can take their assets with them in their mobile with internet banking. Don't know the actual Zhang Jian's plan on this but if they are thinking of making something in decentralized environment using blockchain than that can be revolutionary. But if they are just thinking of centralization than there will be no difference between their project and current internet banking.

I see this as still not yet completely taking our value with us. We already carry all of our information, but not yet our values. If we die today, we lose that information also our values and assets. If I understand for Bitcoin for example this means my bitcoin is lost forever.

Right now you can probably be pretty close to something like a walking bank, as long as you have most of your stuff on plastic or something there's a high likelihood that you're also able to do something along the lines of what is being suggested. Of course, that uses someone else's banking service, but you get the general idea.

You might be able to be your own bank (fully) in a few decades, but the actual transition will likely be pretty slow.

It doesn't. The blockchain gives an automation for everyone to manage his assets. It means if that have different reality with the meaning of atm.
ATM will give you a possibility to receive your asset into the real form.
The blockchain makes everyone possible to bring his assets anywhere.
