Ron Paul was asked about gold, but he said he likes to have gold in his pocket. Who wants to weigh ounces? It was always kind of arbitrary.

the reason Max Keiser loves bitcoins so much is because he was a early adopter and has thousands of them.

I heard him talking about how he holds several patents on other alt-currencies. somehow I can't see a centrally controlled crypto being quite as attractive as the mighty BTC, but the guy likes to be forward thinking. just look at his haircut!

The critical thing to know about Max Keiser is that he's results oriented.   He sold the gold and silver story until it stopped working, and now that Bitcoin is working he's all aboard that train.

Turns out Bitcoin is pretty hard to manipulate since it has an inelastic supply and all kinds of upside driving people in.

Bitcoin and precious metals are complementary.

Bitcoin seems in beat gold in that it is harder to fake than simply plating a tungsten and lead alloy.

Max and Stacy are Silver Liberation Army, not gold bugs.  Big diff, esp for populists like them:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross_of_Gold_speech

the reason Max Keiser loves bitcoins silver so much is because he was a early adopter and has thousands of them ounces.

^^^There, all fixed.   Wink
