So I emailed Baikal and waiting on some additional information but they have ocnfirmed the new cubes require 6 pin power.
As a guess is one able to advise if you can get wall plug to suit or a DC barrel to 6 pin adapter?
I have asked for pin layout so I can get some made up if required and would be willing to get converted a DC Barrel wall adapter to 6 pin and ship to others if required, cost could be prohibitive though.

I think you just want any old PC power supply with a 6 pin PCIe connector. If you try and get all fancy you may damage the thing.

i dont think baikal will use pin configuration other than pc psu 6pin for pci-e we can use computer power supply. even old (not very old) pc psu have 6pin for vga/pci-e

i think you can just plug that to your gaming computer and use your normal psu with 6 pin or 8 pin depend what you need, you can also do without a computer bu you need a bridge to connect the two pin to run the psu

I just recieved my CUBE. it comes with a 6pin to 2.5mm female DC pin adapter so you can use any 12v 10A psu.. best choice are the passive brick type psus with at least 100w.

you only need any computer psu with a 6pin and it will work. Im using an old atx psu with an molex - 6pin adapter right now. it is louder than the miner itself.. not perfect
best is to get a passiv laptop,whatever.. 12V 10A 100W+ psu that you can connect with the adapter included.

yes I have a baikal mini for 3 months now and its running fine. CUBE is even better with double mhs and bigger controlled fan. very nice device. actually i bought a Giant A900 just before DASH gone crazy, but the seller on AliExpress refused shipping after the price went up. so if you want only one Cube buy it directly from baikalminer.
profitable.. im sure it is, but i am only mining dash, which is not always the most profitable coin to mine i think.
also it is very little hashing power that i have, but i dont want to invest so much in asics, even they are very nice.

Their website sucks, and does not work very well.
Can you guys give more info bout this CUBE, is it working well, do you have any issue using it.
Can you mine also ETH or just DASH, or which one is better or the performance is the same on both coins?

You can mine only : X11/X13/X14/X15/Quark/Qubit

Ive got 2 going. Solid 310MH/s on each machine. Powered by a 400w PSU.

I now have a mini and a cube, both powered off an old spare 550W atx power supply (regular computer power supply). You could buy one with 250W-300W and it should still be OK. Then you just have to short the "on" pin (green wire) to ground (black wire) and the PSU will run. Using the 6-pin PCIe GPU plug straight into the cube and it runs fine. I have had the Mini-miner running now for about 3-4 months and the Cube for about 72 hours on the dash P2Pool - 450mh/s. Obviously it fluctuates but the average is exactly as Baikal promised. My cube is actually at 310mh/s so better than advertised. Really the only thing worth mining in the long term on the Baikal devices I believe is Dash. There is a quark algo coin called monetaryunit (MUE) which these devices will mine which is worth a little more at the moment but it is very new and who knows if it will even exist in a year. Dash is a big player and has been around for years and is always getting better and better. If you want solid reliable payment, point the Baikal devices at Nicehash's X11 port and they will pay you in bitocin - a cube will pay about US$9/day at the moment. So if things don't go really bad for some reason, I shgould get ROI on my Cube after about 3 months. My Mini is already in profit because I bought it just before the dash price went through the roof. I actually use around 10 GPUs to mine Zcash, Ethereum and Monero as well but I generally trade it all back to Dash or Bitcoin. As long as Dash stays at a good price, and these units are reliable (i.e. they don't "die" in the next month or three) I think they are the best purchases I have made in mining equipment. The hash-rate vs power consumption is just great, they aren't hot or noisy and they are small and self contained. Double thumbs up from me.

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL
I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

Thank you for this detailed explanation, I was calculating if I can mine ethereum with this 300 MH/s but sadly it is just for dash. What else I can mine with this Baikal Cube?

Hi there,
Can you confirm that if I have just bought two baikal cubes I can just run these off the 6 pic PCIe cables from a regular computer PSU?
If so, do any PSUs have two 6pin PCIe cables? I can only find PSUs with one...
Unless the 6+2pin PCIe cable can be used with a 6pin plug adaptor as provided by baikal..?
Thankyou

Works on mine pci-e ONE cable plugged into a Seasonic 660 Platinum PSU. No issues. The adapter they send is for the optional psu brick... AS to above all my PSU's all came with 4 pci-e cables ...you just need 1 per cube If you need cables corsair and seasonic will sell you some for cheap ....I think it is like 8 bucks or so, I've done so ONLY work on their brand though don't mix an match between companies anyway 75 watts not a big issue to run a couple on my seasonic 660w was what I was planning (load would be about 150w on 2 of the 4 cables I got with the beast)

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

6+2 means it can be used for either 6 pin or 8 pin PCIe. Check out this video card for a clear image of both types. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2017/04/amd-puts-two-gpus-and-32gb-of-ram-on-its-latest-radeon-pro-duo-graphics-card/
