If you did not notice, Syria has been in civil war for the past six years with west supported jihadists, including Al-Queda. So called Islamic State then filled power vacuum in much of used to be eastern Syria along Euphrates river.
I failed to notice some LGBT, prowestern democratic authority among so called rebels, but I am sure you can name many.
Or perhaps you would like Syria to become failed state like Lybia after NATO bombings?
Somebody has to clean it up this mess.
