Hi!

What is the easiest way to insert a bitcoin from a paper wallet generated at bitaddress.org to MtGox? I installed multibit but the import process they describe seems "hackish" where I would need to edit a file manually in a text editor.

Is there an easier way to deposit my coin from the paper wallet to MtGox?

If you are looking for fastest and easiest (and not necessarily safest or best), then MtGox will allow you to import the private key directly from the paper wallet.

Keep in mind if you do this that once you've done it, that paper wallet address is no longer useful and should be discarded.  MtGox now has full control of any bitcoins ever sent to that address in the future, and will quickly sweep them out of that address and into your MtGox account.

Got it finally! Thanks for helping.

Here is a pretty simple video tutorial showing how to transfer from a paper wallet to MtGox:

Yes.  From the NEWBIE README post that is pinned to the top of the Newbie sub-forum:

You can only post in the Newbie and Local sub-forums till you have 5 posts and at least 4 hours on the forum.
Emphasis added by me.

That's 4 hours of actively using the site.  It isn't enough to just be logged in.  If too much time elapses without clicking any links, or submitting any posts/comments, then your active use timer stops until you interact with the site again.

There is other useful information in the NEWBIE README post as well.  A great way to get through the 2 hours you have remaining (you're currently at 2 hours 12 minutes) would be to read that full post and follow each of the links found there.
